0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, lo Lolo! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lolo shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. VanDan eats them both and turns towards Lolo to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Danga de danga de dang - Lolo scores with a four punch combination! VanDan drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lolo is pushing VanDan's head away, looking to escape. VanDan manages to hold on to the position though. Lolo tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. VanDan trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Lolo doesn't escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. VanDan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Zick VanDan. Lolo tries to bum rush VanDan with a series of wild strikes but VanDan uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Lolo throws a left and a right that both miss
and VanDan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lolo won't be happy with that. Lolo tries to escape back to his feet but VanDan has kept hold of him... Oh, now he's got Lolo's back and is looking for the choke... Is it? Is it sunk in? YES! Lolo is tapping! VanDan saw the opportunity and took it - ruthless!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woodlley throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tony tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Woodlley is in Tony's guard. Woodlley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Tony is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Woodlley is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Couture controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Couture trying to control the position from guard on top but Flamini is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Couture is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ranndy Couture was stalling too much, according to the referee. Couture shoots in and bounces Flamini off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Couture content to stall in guard here.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ranndy Couture hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Couture fails with an attempt to clinch.
Couture throws a right hand that Flamini ducks under and follows up with a left that Flamini also avoids with ease. Couture fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Couture rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Flamini moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Couture misses with a few strikes there.
Couture leaves Flamini with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Couture throws a good cross that connects.
Couture moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Couture will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Couture lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Couture looks to land a combination. Flamini sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. No joy there for Couture, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Flamini looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Couture is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Couture wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Flamini, who protects the arm well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fat doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Boladao to counter with a crisp jab. Fat looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Boladao scores with a nice head shot. Boladao gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Fat counters with a single leg into guard. Boladao didn't expect that. Boladao is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Fat postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Boladao is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fat, into his guard. Fat keeping moving, preventing Boladao from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boladao is really struggling to control Fat but he's trying to hold on to the position. Fat throws his legs up looking for a submission but Boladao uses it to pass to side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. A lull in the action here. Boladao wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fat keeps working. Boladao really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Fat tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Boladao presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Boladao tries to control but Fat wriggling away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Boladao looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rodrigo Boladao. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fat needs to keep his hands up - Boladao had a free shot at his head there. Boladao tries to clinch up. Boladao moves in looking to clinch but Fat pushes him off. Boladao fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Boladao with a lazy takedown attempt and Fat counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Fat is looking for a kimura but Boladao is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fat to get the leverage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Bartimaker Fat will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Boladao lands with a right hand. Fat gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting Boladao counter with a right hand. Boladao shoots for a double leg takedown but Fat sprawls well. He's pushed Boladao's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Boladao clinches up with Fat and pushes him back against the cage. Boladao drags the fight down to the ground.
Fat is breathing heavily. Fat got a little sloppy there for a moment and Boladao has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fat has managed to get both his arms back between Boladao's legs - danger averted. Boladao throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Fat drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Boladao manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Fat has Boladao in his guard. Boladao wants to control from the top but Fat keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fat looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Boladao has picked Fat up and slammed him! Fat can't keep hold of the triangle and Boladao manages to pass to side control! Boladao trying to control the position but Fat is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fat is looking to reverse the position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Boladao is working to tighten is grip on Fat's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Fat has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Boladao is really squeezing tight and eventually Fat passes out! Boladao breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeshi Miyamoto! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lennon Joe! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miyamoto scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Miyamoto slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Joe throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Joe throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Miyamoto counters with a nice uppercut. Miyamoto lands a head shot. Miyamoto lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Joe throws a left and a right that both miss
and Miyamoto counters with a series of strikes that sends Joe to the canvas! Miyamoto follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight! Miyamoto stands and throws Joe's legs to the side, diving into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miyamoto grinds an elbow into Joe's temple. Miyamoto works to advance to full mount. Joe defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Miyamoto throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Miyamoto lands a heavy elbow. Miyamoto is in the full mount, landing strikes. Miyamoto in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Joe is rocked! Miyamoto has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whack. That's a big, big shot from Miyamoto! Joe is out cold! This one is all over!
