1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marionetka Pudzianowska! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pudzianowska shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Golban sprawls well. Golban wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pudzianowska gets slowly back to his feet. Pudzianowska tries for a takedown but Golban sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Pudzianowska changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Golban tries to avoid it but Pudzianowska manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Golban to the ground. Golban escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ion Golban has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marionetka Pudzianowska. Pudzianowska tries to clinch but fails miserably and Golban counters with a nice right hand that sends Pudzianowska toppling to the canvas! Pudzianowska scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Golban finish him?!

and Pudzianowska counters with a lovely straight right hand! Pudzianowska walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Pudzianowska limp body while Golban jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Kim. No joy for Hughes on that attempt. Hughes throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Frank Kim has been cut. Kim is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Hughes. This has been an exciting period of action! No luck with that takedown attempt from Hughes. Kim misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hughes dives in and grabs Kim's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kim pushes down on Hughes's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jordan Hughes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hughes shoots in for a double leg but Kim sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hughes shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kim as he avoids it easily. Hughes fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kim throws a head kick that misses and Hughes counters with a takedown into side control. Hughes is looking to take a break and control but Kim is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kim can do anything to dispel that myth. Hughes prevents Kim from escaping the position. Kim really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hughes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hughes trying to control the position but Kim is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kim is trying to escape and get back to his feet. The referee asks Hughes politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Hughes prefers to stall for the moment though. Hughes's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Kim is not content to let Hughes control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Jordan Hughes just wasn't active enough. Kim scores with a head kick.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kim looks gassed! Kim pushes Hughes off but Hughes dives into side control.
Kim is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hughes has just dragged him back down to the mat. Hughes is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Kim's shoulder. That is not cool.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kim is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Hughes remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fists pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Unsui clinches. Fists working hard to break the clinch. Unsui has Fists pressed against the cage, preventing Fists from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Unsui prevents Fists from breaking the clinch. Unsui is pushing Fists up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Unsui drops down looking for an ankle pick but Fists pulls his leg out and moves away.
Unsui takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Unsui misses with a series of wild punches.
Unsui shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fists as he jumps to the side. Unsui gets in close and instigates a clinch. A frustrated look appears on Fists's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Hammer Fists has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mohammed Unsui. Unsui has had enough of the clinch but Fists keeps him there for the moment. Unsui escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Unsui fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Unsui ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Unsui steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Fists. Fists sizes up Unsui with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Hammer Fists seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fists works the jab nicely. Fists swings and misses with a hook to the body.
