The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mendes has taken the fight to the clinch.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Mendes is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mendes manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Mendes's guard. No, Mendes has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted. Mendes has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Silva to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Mendes is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Silva pulls down on the head and he's put Mendes to sleep! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ormanski throws a right hand that Fagundes ducks under and follows up with a left that Fagundes also avoids with ease. Fagundes looks for a takedown but Ormanski sprawls well. Ormanski clinches with his opponent.
Fagundes keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ormanski's efforts to push away. Fagundes tries for a takedown. No joy.
Fagundes has Ormanski pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ormanski manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Renan Fagundes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ormanski is trying to break free. That was a close round but I would say that Renan Fagundes will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Renan Fagundes's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Fagundes shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ormanski's guard. Fagundes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fagundes looking to sit in guard and control but Ormanski gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Fagundes is looking for a triangle but Ormanski pushes his legs off easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fagundes throwing strikes here but Ormanski is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Ormanski is squirming around, avoiding Fagundes's attempts to control the action. Fagundes unloads with some shots from mount but Ormanski bucks and avoids them well.

Ormanski tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Fagundes counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Fagundes. Ormanski is working an open guard so Fagundes takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Ormanski throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fagundes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
