Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between San Andreas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bangga Giba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, San Andreas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bangga Giba! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Giba is defended easily by Andreas. Andreas is looking to land body kicks. Andreas misses with a body kick. Andreas throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Andreas connects with a leg kick. Giba looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Giba looks gassed! Giba tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Andreas swivels and escapes. Andreas tries to land a front kick but Giba steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Crunch! Andreas slams his shin into Giba's torso. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Giba crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Andreas - the referee stops the clock and Giba gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Andreas. Giba manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Andreas thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Giba if he has to take too many more of those.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Giba tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. San Andreas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Andreas throws a half hearted mid kick. Andreas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Andreas bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Andreas tries to land a front kick but Giba steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Giba fails with a takedown attempt. San Andreas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bangga Giba. Nice body kick there by Andreas.

Andreas pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Andreas throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Andreas lets loose with a powerful body kick. Giba will feel that in the morning. Andreas throws a quick inside leg kick. Andreas dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Giba. That did some damage! Giba takes a kick to the side of the head. Andreas throws a nice inside leg kick. Andreas throws a body kick that misses. Andreas looks for the body kick but Giba saw that one coming. Andreas lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Giba takes a kick to the side of the head. Andreas explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Nice body kick from Andreas. Andreas dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Giba. That did some damage! Andreas lands a nice looking body kick. Andreas lands with a kick to the ribs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Giba blocks the body kick.

Giba has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Andreas. Giba takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Andreas throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Andreas throws a head kick that misses. Andreas scores with a spinning back kick! Andreas throws a push kick but Giba slaps the foot to one side.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andreas throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Giba's head. Andreas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Andreas stuffs the takedown attempt from Giba. Giba gets slowly back to his feet. Andreas connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Andreas is looking to land body kicks. Andreas throws a wild body kick that Giba sees coming a mile off. Andreas throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Giba looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Giba tries to free his leg and advance position but Andreas is retaining full guard. Giba stops Andreas from standing up. Giba forces his way into half guard. Andreas is trying to stand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Giba thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Andreas is defending against the submission attempts here by Giba.
Giba seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Andreas does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Andreas is trying to stand back up but Giba is controlling him
Andreas trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Giba wants to work for an arm triangle but Andreas is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Giba is looking to take a break and control but Andreas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Giba thows a huge punch but Andreas dodges it nicely.
Giba has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Andreas is not content to let Giba control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
San Andreas dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. A chopping leg kick lands by Andreas. Andreas misses with a kick to the body.
Andreas goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Andreas lands a nice looking body kick. Giba chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Andreas can pounce on him.

Giba takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Andreas feints and then cracks Giba's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Giba down. San Andreas is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Andreas connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. A head kick from Andreas lands but Giba takes it in his stride. Giba tries for a takedown but Andreas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Andreas.
Andreas thows a body kick. Giba tries to catch it but that hurt him. San Andreas is winning the standup battle so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Giba sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Giba takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Andreas lands with a thumping leg kick.
Andreas gets off balance looking for a body kick and Giba decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Andreas's guard. Andreas is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Giba wants to control from the top but Andreas keeps moving. Giba is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Giba tries to free his leg and advance position but Andreas is retaining full guard. Andreas wants to stand but Giba is controlling the position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Giba is looking to stand up but Andreas won't let him.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Bangga Giba hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. A thudding body kick lands there by Andreas!

Andreas connects with an inside leg kick. Andreas stuffs the takedown. San Andreas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Giba avoids a kick to the body.
Andreas throws a lazy head kick and Giba counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Andreas's guard now. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Giba drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Giba jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Giba is standing up over Andreas. Andreas looks to escape but Giba dives into side control.
Giba is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Andreas knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Giba wants to lay and pray for a moment but Andreas keeps working.

Andreas wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Giba is looking to take a break and control but Andreas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Andreas is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Giba tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Andreas pushes Giba away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Giba gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Giba trying to control the action but Andreas is working from the bottom. Andreas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Giba on the ground. Andreas pushes Giba away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Giba gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bangga Giba showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Andreas's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Andreas lands a leg kick that knocks Giba off balance momentarily. Giba's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Giba shoots in and drives through. Andreas sprawls well. Andreas connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Andreas scoring well with a low kick there.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Giba is trying to work for a kimura but Andreas is defending well.
Giba escapes and gets back to his feet. Andreas buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Giba steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Andreas. That one must have hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A thudding body kick lands there by Andreas!
Giba fails with a takedown attempt from distance. San Andreas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bangga Giba. Giba chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Andreas can pounce on him.

Andreas feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Giba's calf. Giba doesn't manage to clinch there - Andreas circles away.
Andreas throws the kick towards the body but Giba avoids it. Andreas tries a head kick but it misses.
Andreas misses with a kick to the body and Giba counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Andreas cracks the inside of Giba's front leg. Nice takedown defense from Andreas. No joy for Giba on that attempt. Andreas with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Giba shoots in looking for a takedown but Andreas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Giba's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. A clash of legs there as Giba blocks the low kick.

Horrible takedown by Giba or perhaps it was just good defense by Andreas which made him look bad. Andreas throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Andreas plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Andreas gets off balance looking for a body kick and Giba counters with a nice double leg into side control. Andreas won't be happy with that. Andreas is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Giba in side control, just content to control the action for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Giba looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Giba wants to lay and pray for a moment but Andreas keeps working. Andreas prevents Giba from improving position. Andreas wants to get back to his feet. Giba tries to advance to mount but can't. Andreas on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Andreas tries to get out of the position. Andreas wants to get back to his feet but Giba drags him back down.
And that's the end of the fight! Bangga Giba comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Giba has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Parkman closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Head did well to prevent Parkman getting side control. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Head is looking to escape. Parkman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Head with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Head is trying to stand.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Dew regains half guard. Dew regains full guard. Nicely done. Horensztejn has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Dew to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Yorker throws a front kick that sends Polisher stumbling back into the ropes. Polisher looks gassed! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Yorker goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Yorker dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Polisher. That did some damage! Nice body kick from Yorker. Yorker moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Yorker pushes Polisher away with a front kick. A solid body kick from Yorker. Yorker lands a head kick. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Path darts in trying to clinch and James connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like War Path has been cut. Path misses with a head kick.
James shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Path's guard. James looking to pass the guard. Even Countryman can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
