The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Galfanakis gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Aurelio drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Galfanakis manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Aurelio has Galfanakis in his guard. Galfanakis advances position into side control! Galfanakis creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Galfanakis working the head with strikes. Galfanakis moves into full mount! Galfanakis punishing his opponent with strikes. Galfanakis lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Aurelio is looking to improve his position but Galfanakis isn't that keen on the idea.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mc Travis misses with a takedown enabling Coples to counter with a crisp jab. Mc Travis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Coples counters with a stiff right hand. Mc Travis shoots and misses letting Coples counter with a right hand. Fred Coples has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Soap Mc Travis. Mc Travis has his takedown stuffed and Coples counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. This has been an exciting period of action! Mc Travis tries to sprawl but Coples drives through with a takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mc Travis actively working from the bottom here. Coples knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mc Travis on the ground. Coples controlling the pace. Coples's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Coples has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Fred Coples. Coples looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coples got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mc Travis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Coples has managed to get both his arms back between Mc Travis's legs - danger averted. Mc Travis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Coples defends well. Coples stands up over Mc Travis, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Coples sitting in guard here, content to control. Coples trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Coples is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Mc Travis has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Coples is looking to defend but Mc Travis has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Coples! Mc Travis pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Coples taps out and this one is all over!

Rawbone looking to control but Gaea is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Rawbone prevents Gaea from getting the reversal. Rawbone working away from the top, dropping strikes. Rawbone working for a submission but Gaea is keeping him at bay. Gaea regains half guard. Gaea looking for submissions off his back.

Gaea is defending against the submission attempts here by Rawbone.

Gaea is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rawbone off and has taken his back! Gaea looking to break Rawbone's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Rawbone remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Gaea will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Gaea working for a choke but Rawbone is defending well.

Rawbone has picked Gaea up and slammed him! Gaea can't keep hold of the triangle and Rawbone manages to pass to side control! Rawbone throws an elbow but Gaea slips to the side and avoids it well. Rawbone is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gaea knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Rawbone thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Rawbone happy to just control the position for now. Rawbone working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rawbone shoots in looking for a takedown. Gaea tries to sprawl out of it but Rawbone keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gaea manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Gaea stuffs the takedown attempt from Rawbone. Rawbone gets slowly back to his feet. Gaea with a poor takedown and Rawbone counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gaea won't be happy with that. Gaea tries to improve position but can't.
