Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Plant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Plant has chosen Au innebunit salcamii as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcus Plant! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Plant doesn't succeed with the takedown and Dixon counters with a low kick, right behind Plant 's knee. A telegraphed right hand from Dixon misses the target. Plant uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dixon.
A clash of legs there as Plant blocks the low kick. Plant takes one to the chin there. Dixon tries to score with a low kick but Plant moves his leg out of the way. Plant drives through with a takedown into Dixon's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Plant throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dixon works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Dixon can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Plant controls the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dixon seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Plant missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Plant trying to control the position from guard on top but Dixon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Plant is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Plant throwing strikes but missing. Dixon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Plant on the ground. Plant trying to control but Dixon is working from the bottom. Plant throwing strikes from guard but Dixon blocks nicely. Plant trying to control the position from guard on top but Dixon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Plant with a nice head shot there. Plant forces his way into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Plant looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Plant is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Plant frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Plant with a couple of short strikes. BOOM! Plant connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Plant dominating with strikes here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Plant working away from the top, dropping strikes. Plant fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Plant wants to control the pace but Dixon is squirming around nicely.

Plant controlling the pace for now. Plant lands a nice shot to the head. Plant in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Plant cracks Dixon with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
It looks like Ryan Dixon has been cut. Plant trying to control but Dixon is having none of it. Plant postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dixon looks a forlorn figure.

Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Schrute is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Zalcock is controlling him. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Zalcock. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Schrute throws a left and a right that both miss
and Zalcock counters with a three punch combo that has Schrute backing up. Schrute nods at Zalcock to acknowledge the strikes. Schrute throws a right and a left that Zalcock avoids nicely. Schrute throws a nice looking combination but Zalcock bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Zalcock clinches up with Schrute and pushes him back against the cage. A right hand to the body from Zalcock.
Zalcock lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Schrute backwards. Zalcock pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zalcock tries to close the distance and clinch up but Schrute swats him away and circles back towards the center. Schrute misses with a combination
and Zalcock counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Schrute throws a left and a right that both miss
and Zalcock counters with a stiff right hand. Zalcock digs a good body shot into Schrute's ribs. Zalcock pushes Schrute up against the cage in a clinch. Schrute breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Schrute shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Schrute falls off balance throwing a combination
so Zalcock counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Zalcock stops Schrute from standing up. Zalcock passes Schrute's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Zalcock tries to pass the half guard into mount. Schrute knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Schrute avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Zalcock.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zalcock is trying to control the action in half guard but Schrute is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Zalcock is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Schrute is staying active underneath Zalcock, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Schrute on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Schrute tries to get out of the position.

Hugo Zalcock showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Dwight Schrute's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Schrute works over Zalcock's head and body with a nice combination. Schrute throws a right hand that Zalcock ducks under and follows up with a left that Zalcock also avoids with ease. Schrute misses with a jab, cross combination.

A frustrated look appears on Schrute's face as he tries to break the clinch. Zalcock lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Schrute wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Zalcock has him pressed against the cage. A left hand lands to the body for Zalcock.
Zalcock's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A nice combination there by Schrute.

and Zalcock counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Zalcock sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Schrute defending well though. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Zalcock sitting and controlling from the half guard. Zalcock wants to work for an arm triangle but Schrute is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Schrute is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Zalcock is controlling him well. Zalcock wants to lay and pray for a moment but Schrute keeps working. Sloppy strikes there by Zalcock. Dwight Schrute has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Zalcock is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Schrute is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Hugo Zalcock is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Schrute throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Hugo Zalcock comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Zalcock has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fairtex fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Fairtex defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hassel. A chopping leg kick lands by Fairtex. Worawat Fairtex seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fairtex misses with a low kick as Hassel jumps back. Hassel tries to bum rush Fairtex with a series of wild strikes but Fairtex uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Fairtex connects with a solid leg kick. Hassel throws a head kick that misses and Fairtex counters with an outside leg kick.
Fairtex throws the kick towards the body but Hassel avoids it. A slapping leg kick lands for Fairtex.
Hassel throws a combination that misses and Fairtex counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hassel's knee momentarily. Hassel sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Fairtex throws a head kick that Hassel semi-blocks.

and Fairtex counters with a solid body kick. Hassel looks gassed! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hassel has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. A decent looking cross lands there for Fairtex. Fairtex avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A head kick from Fairtex lands but Hassel takes it in his stride.
It looks like Chris Hassel has been cut. Fairtex throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hassel. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Fairtex, right into the meat.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Fairtex moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Fairtex throws a head kick but Hassel moves out of range.
Worawat Fairtex is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hassel takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Hassel takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Fairtex lands with a nice body kick. A head kick from Fairtex lands but Hassel takes it in his stride. Hassel takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Fairtex dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hassel. That did some damage! Fairtex throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Fairtex scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Hassel has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Fairtex. Fairtex connects with a leg kick. Hassel looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fairtex buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hassel on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Fairtex throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Fairtex throws a head kick that misses. Fairtex throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Fairtex closes the distance and lands a one-two. A good leg kick by Fairtex. Hassel's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Fairtex displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Hassel takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Fairtex's corner calls for a 1-2. Fairtex obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Hassel takes a head kick and keeps coming.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fairtex feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hassel's calf. Crunch! Fairtex slams his shin into Hassel's torso. Fairtex lands a head kick!
Fairtex connects with a leg kick. Hassel looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Fairtex tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A kick lands to the mid section there for Fairtex. Fairtex throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Fairtex lands with a nice body kick. Fairtex throws a sloppy head kick and Hassel moves out of range easily. Fairtex throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Jack cracks Bustamante with a good jab. Bustamante is trying desperately to land a takedown but Jack is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Bustamante.

He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Balsac misses with a jab, cross combination.
