Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richard Procheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Granger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Granger has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Granger! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Granger tries for a takedown but Procheck sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Procheck lands with a cross. No luck with that takedown attempt from Granger. Granger shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Procheck as he jumps to the side. Richard Procheck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane Granger. Granger looks gassed! Procheck closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Granger quickly recovers to half guard. Granger is staying active underneath Procheck, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Procheck in particular looking to stall. Procheck really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Procheck seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Granger does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Granger looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Procheck seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Procheck's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We're going to have a standup here because Richard Procheck wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Procheck takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Procheck keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Granger fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Procheck avoids it really well and circles away. Good exchange - Procheck coming out on top. Procheck thuds his right hand into Granger's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Granger gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Procheck content to stall in guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Granger keeping moving, preventing Procheck from controlling successfully. Procheck with a nice head shot there. Procheck is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Procheck wants to control from the top but Granger keeps moving. Procheck is really struggling to control Granger but he's trying to hold on to the position. Procheck is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Granger is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Procheck is in close to Granger's body, working some short punches and elbows. Procheck trying to control the position from guard on top but Granger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Granger had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Procheck defends it easily. Procheck trying to control but Granger is working from the bottom.

We're going to have a standup here because Richard Procheck wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Granger shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Procheck but Procheck pushes him off and we're back to square one. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Procheck uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Granger has time to react. Procheck lands a nice shot that snaps Granger's head back.
Procheck defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Granger. Procheck slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Granger walks into a jab. Procheck looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Granger is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Procheck not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Procheck wants to control from the top but Granger keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Procheck distracts Granger with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Procheck knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Granger on the ground. Granger escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Procheck gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Procheck makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Procheck controlling from the top position. Procheck trying to control but Granger is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Richard Procheck wasn't doing enough on the ground. Granger will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Procheck clinches with his opponent.
Granger has Procheck pressed against the cage, preventing Procheck from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A quick uppercut on the inside from Procheck. Procheck works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Procheck wants to control from the top but Granger keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Procheck is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Procheck slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Procheck trying to control but Granger is working from the bottom. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Richard Procheck. Procheck scores with a jab. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Procheck decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Granger is refusing to be controlled, as Procheck sits in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Richard Procheck showed his dominance in that final round. Well Procheck has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wasieleski shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Richards's guard. Wasieleski passes easily into side control. Nice work. Richards is looking for a sweep. Wasieleski taking a breather here. Wasieleski working the strikes but Richards uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Wasieleski tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Richards. Wasieleski blocks the strikes from Richards.

That's one minute gone in the round. Wasieleski decides to return to a standing position. Richards with a poor takedown and Wasieleski counters with a single leg into guard. Richards didn't expect that. Richards looking to control.

Richards has momentary wrist control but Wasieleski slips an elbow through the middle. Richards is working an open guard so Wasieleski takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Richards scores a takedown into full mount! Wasieleski is desperately trying to improve his position but Richards has a good base and remains in mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Richards lands a big shot there that rocks Wasieleski but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wasieleski keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Richards seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wasieleski does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Richards is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Richards is thwarting Wasieleski's attempts to control the position. Wasieleski could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Richards trying to control from Wasieleski's half guard. Wasieleski has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Richards won't allow Wasieleski to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Richards throwing strikes from guard but Wasieleski blocks nicely. Wasieleski looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Richards is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Wasieleski is trying to control the position but Richards postures up. Richards passes into half guard. Wasieleski tries to get to full guard but Richards has control of the leg. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Richards wants to control but Wasieleski is keeping him busy.

He's managed it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Poppe stopping the sweep attempt from Jingler. Jingler trying to control the position.

Jingler is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Jingler throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Poppe is pushing off trying to get to his feet. Jingler has hold of the leg though and he's dropped back for a heel hook… has he got it?? YES! Poppe is tapping! This fight is all over!

Jones is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Portage has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Jones is looking to defend but Portage has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Jones! Portage pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Jones taps out and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rickson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Tentotlon pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A head kick by Tentotlon misses and Rickson counters with a shoot takedown. Tentotlon fights it but they end up in guard. Rickson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Tentotlon preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tentotlon has a closed guard, preventing Rickson from standing up. Rickson sitting in guard here, content to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jeff Rickson was stalling too much, according to the referee. Tentotlon throws a combination. Rickson tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crunch! Tentotlon slams his shin into Rickson's torso. Tentotlon lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Tentotlon misses with a two punch combination.
Rickson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tentotlon swivels and escapes. No luck with that takedown attempt from Rickson. Rickson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Tentotlon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Tentotlon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jake Tentotlon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rickson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tentotlon. Rickson scores with a takedown into Tentotlon's guard. Tentotlon seems keen to control Rickson's posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tentotlon has a closed guard, preventing Rickson from standing up. Rickson trying to control the position from guard on top but Tentotlon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rickson wants to get up but he can't break Tentotlon's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Jeff Rickson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Tentotlon lands a nice looking body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tentotlon throws a low kick, looking for Rickson's leg but Rickson calmly moves out of range. Rickson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rickson wants to control from the top but Tentotlon keeps moving. Rickson looking to pass the guard. Tentotlon looking to control.

Jake Tentotlon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Rickson. Rickson avoids the head kick by Tentotlon.
Rickson tries to score with a low kick but Tentotlon moves his leg out of the way. Tentotlon lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Rickson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Rickson thows a huge punch but Tentotlon dodges it nicely.

And that's the end of the fight! Jeff Rickson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Rickson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Mickles feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Trenedad sprawling to the canvas! Trenedad rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mickles finish him?!
It looks like John Trenedad has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Trenedad falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mickles counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Trenedad! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!

Johnson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Calloway. Johnson slaps away a takedown attempt from Calloway, before circling back to the center of the mat. Johnson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Johnson. Austin Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Calloway circles away quickly and effectively. Calloway misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Silva takes one to the chin there. Silva throws a lazy body kick enabling Tszyu to counter with a crisp jab. Silva takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tszyu drops Silva with a beautiful combination! Silva stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Tszyu is looking for the KO! Silva looks to throw a body kick and Tszyu makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. A lazy body kick from Silva and Tszyu counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Tszyu lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Silva falls backwards - clearly groggy! Tszyu dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
