6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tim Adams! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adams moves into the clinch successfully.
Adams ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Adams no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Adams wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Media trying to control the position from guard on top but Adams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Media trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Adams is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Media is controlling him. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Media accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Adams tries to land a sweep but no joy. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Adams is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Media passes Adams's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Media missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Media looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Media is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Adams has managed to free his arm - good work. Media wants to control but Adams is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Media has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Media throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Media tries to control but Adams wriggling away. Adams blocking the ground and pound. Adams is trying desperately to improve position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Media is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Adams has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Adams!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Adams working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Adams throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Media has momentary wrist control but Adams slips an elbow through the middle. Adams must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Adams's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Adams loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Adams wants to control from the top but Media keeps moving. Adams missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Adams got a little sloppy there for a moment and Media has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Adams has managed to get both his arms back between Media's legs - danger averted. Media controls Adams momentarily but Adams frees himself. Media is breathing heavily. Media is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Adams is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Adams throwing strikes from guard but Media blocks nicely. Adams slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Let's hope that Adams has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Media tries to strike from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Media with a poor takedown and Adams counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Adams loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Adams wants to control from the top but Media keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adams instigates a clinch. Adams lands a right hand. Media is working for takedown but Adams is calmly controlling the position for now. Adams throws an elbow but Media slips to the side and avoids it well. Adams is putting a hurting on Media here, landing some big shots from side control. Adams looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Media is avoiding damage well.

Media tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Adams is in Media's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Media working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Adams doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Adams manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Media had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Adams defends it easily. Adams gets to his feet - Media follows without any prompting.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Adams moves into the clinch. Adams breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Adams keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Media gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Adams cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Media. That's going to take a lot out of him. Media gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Adams counters with a three punch combo that has Media backing up. Media nods at Adams to acknowledge the strikes. Adams throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Media was covering up waiting for the punch and Adams finishes the takedown easily into guard. Media looking to control.

And that's the end of the fight! Tim Adams comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Adams has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones takes a shot right to the bread basket. Jones tries for a takedown but Bonaparte circles away easily and Bonaparte counters with a lovely straight right hand! Jones blocks a head kick by Bonaparte.
Bonaparte scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jones doesn't seem bothered though. Jones shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bonaparte counters with a head kick. A punch lands to the side of Jones 's head but he takes it in his stride. Bonaparte lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Good leg kick by Bonaparte there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
