The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ripper looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Crunch! Toast slams his shin into Ripper's torso.
Pulver Toast seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Good leg kick by Toast there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Toast thumps Ripper with a low kick.
Toast ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ripper moves away.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Toast, right into the meat.

Ripper shoots in and gets a takedown into Toast's guard.
Ripper is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Toast has his foot on Ripper's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ripper works his way back into a safe position though.
Toast looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Toast is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Toast manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ripper manages to get himself to full guard.

Toast working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Toast drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ripper dives on top into guard.
Ripper will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Toast pulls Ripper in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Toast tries to land a sweep but no joy.
