Fausto Moriwaki told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moriwaki works Koutras's body with a nice hook. Moriwaki scores with a body shot.

Moriwaki stuns Koutras with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Koutras doesn't manage to clinch there - Moriwaki circles away.

Koutras shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Moriwaki defends it nicely. Koutras takes a shot right to the bread basket. Moriwaki scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. and Koutras counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Moriwaki's guard now. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Moriwaki tries to land a sweep but no joy. Moriwaki striking off his back but it's not causing Koutras any problems. Koutras passes Moriwaki's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moriwaki is looking for a sweep. Koutras is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Moriwaki is looking to escape. Moriwaki is trying to get back to full guard. Moriwaki is not content to let Koutras control the position. Koutras escapes and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koutras looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jacinto Koutras. That's going to take a lot out of him. Moriwaki scores with a shot to the body.
Moriwaki lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Koutras counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Moriwaki throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Koutras stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Moriwaki misses with a hook to the body
so Koutras counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Moriwaki trying to strike off his back.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Koutras preventing the sweep. Moriwaki fails in his attempt to clinch. Koutras throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Koutras could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Koutras tries to clinch but fails miserably and Moriwaki counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Moriwaki ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Koutras moves away. Koutras tries for a takedown but Moriwaki circles away easily and Moriwaki counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Fausto Moriwaki seems to be getting the better of the standup. Koutras fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Koutras on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Moriwaki swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Moriwaki gets in close and instigates a clinch. Moriwaki wants to break free but Koutras has control.

Moriwaki has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Moriwaki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Moriwaki connects with a body shot. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Moriwaki digs a good body shot into Koutras's ribs. Moriwaki swings for the body but Koutras moves out of range.

Moriwaki swings and misses with a shot to the body and Koutras counters with a single leg into guard. Moriwaki didn't expect that. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Koutras pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Moriwaki is keeping the position for now. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Moriwaki can do anything to dispel that myth. Moriwaki doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Koutras preventing the sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Moriwaki is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Moriwaki thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Koutras's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moriwaki throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Moriwaki wants to free his trapped foot but Koutras is holding on for dear life with his legs. Koutras works his way to full guard. Good work. Koutras working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Moriwaki doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Moriwaki manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Koutras utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Moriwaki preventing the sweep. Koutras lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Moriwaki! Moriwaki takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Koutras throwing strikes here but Moriwaki is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Koutras controlling the position easily from mount. Moriwaki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Koutras. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Koutras tries to control but Moriwaki wriggling away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fausto Moriwaki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jacinto Koutras's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Koutras shoots for a takedown but Moriwaki saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Fausto Moriwaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Moriwaki lands a nice shot to the body.
Koutras closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Moriwaki's guard. Koutras stays in close to Moriwaki's body and controls the position. Koutras stopping the sweep attempt from Moriwaki. Koutras passes Moriwaki's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koutras thows a huge punch but Moriwaki dodges it nicely.

Koutras tries to clinch but Moriwaki moves out of range. Moriwaki has taken the fight to the clinch.

Koutras's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Koutras gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Moriwaki misses with a body punch
and Koutras counters with a shoot takedown. Moriwaki fights it but they end up in guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Koutras wants to pass the guard but Moriwaki is keeping the position. Moriwaki tries to land a sweep but no joy.

and Ryti counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Ryti looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Tinsdale working a defensive guard but Ryti passes into half guard.

and Moller counters with a straight right hand. Moller lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cosco's sensitive parts. Moller throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cosco closes the distance but Moller moves to the side and Moller counters with a lovely straight right hand! Cosco throws a leg kick and Moller counters with a stiff right hand.
Cosco is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cosco throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Moller counters with a lovely straight right hand! Oh Cosco is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Cosco swings and misses with a shot to the body and Moller counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Moller, right into the meat.
Moller connects with a combination that backs up Cosco into the cage. Moller lands a flurry of punches that gets past Cosco's guard. Cosco is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Moller bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.

Wallace throws a combination that misses and Buarga counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Wallace down! Buarga is looking to finish but Wallace is intelligently defending himself.
Wallace is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Buarga accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Wallace is still in real trouble! Can Buarga finish him? Buarga in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Buarga with a nice head shot there. Buarga trying to control the position from guard on top but Wallace is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Buarga throws a big right hand that misses. Wallace is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Buarga is controlling him. Wallace is looking to stand back up but Buarga counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Wallace. Buarga stops Wallace from getting back to his feet.

and Wallace counters with a left and a right that stings Buarga. Micka Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wallace falls off balance throwing a combination

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hope misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Mask throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Powers sees it coming and avoids it easily. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Powers lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. A lazy left from Mask finds it's target. Powers looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Mask thuds a left hand into Powers's body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Powers walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Powers thows a body shot but no joy. A bone on bone clash there as Mask blocks the leg kick.
Powers swings and misses with a shot to the body and Mask counters with a nice body shot. Powers swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Mask counter with a right hand. Mask connects with a body shot that sends Powers's belly button to the back. Powers's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mask connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Powers scrambles back to his feet. Mask dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Powers wants to clinch and Mask connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Powers throws a lazy uppercut
and Powers takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Mask lands with a good body shot. Powers takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Powers is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mask is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Powers. The fight stays on the outside here - Powers looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mask misses with the combination.
Powers swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mask lands with a good body shot. Powers connects with a body shot. Mask uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Powers.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Powers staying out of range there. Powers tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mask swats him away and circles back towards the center. Powers goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Chuck Powers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mask works Powers's body with a nice hook.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Johnny Mask. Well Mask has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Heiluu has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kuyrpa is really squeezing tight and eventually Heiluu passes out! Kuyrpa breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
