The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rakko closes the distance and clinches up with Mo, looking for a takedown. Rakko pushes Mo against the cage but Mo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rakko on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Rakko takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

It looks like Pate Rakko has been cut.

Rakko changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mo is pushing Rakko's head away, looking to escape. Rakko manages to hold on to the position though.

Rakko tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rakko has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Zwart goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Zwart because Gattuso was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Carter misses with a body shot.
Carter throws a lazy uppercut
and Solovyev cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Solovyev tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The fighters circling - Carter throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Solovyev wants to land a leg kick but Carter is out of range.
Solovyev dodges the punch combination from Carter.
Carter lands a nice shot that snaps Solovyev's head back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Carter counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Solovyev is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Carter turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
A punch lands to the side of Solovyev 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Carter feints and then cracks Solovyev's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Solovyev down.

and Carter counters with a good low kick that Solovyev was not able to check.

Solovyev cracks Carter with a right hand to the side of the head.

Carter thuds a left hand into Solovyev's body.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Carter, right into the meat.
Vladimir Solovyev seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Carter tries a low kick but Solovyev avoids it.
Solovyev tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carter swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Carter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Solovyev moves away.
Solovyev misses with an uppercut
and Carter makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Carter has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Solovyev thows a leg kick but Carter checks it
and Carter counters with a three punch combo that has Solovyev backing up. Solovyev nods at Carter to acknowledge the strikes.
Solovyev connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

and Carter counters with an inside leg kick.
Carter looks to land a combination but Solovyev avoids it well.
Solovyev does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Solovyev blocks a low kick nicely.
Solovyev throws a wild body kick that Carter sees coming a mile off.
Carter fails to land with a series of punches.
Solovyev cracks the inside of Carter's front leg.
Carter throws a leg kick
and Solovyev counters with a thumping low kick.
A thudding body kick lands there by Solovyev!
Carter lands with a thumping leg kick.
Solovyev lands with a thumping leg kick.
Carter lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Carter lands with a kick to the ribs.

and Carter counters with a nice low kick that buckles Solovyev's knee momentarily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Carter rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Solovyev counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Carter misses with an attempted mid kick.
Solovyev darts in trying to clinch
letting Carter counter with a right hand.
Solovyev changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Carter will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
A combination from Carter does no damage.
Solovyev checks a low kick from Carter.
Carter misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Carter takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Solovyev throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

And that's the end of the fight!
Craig Carter showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Carter has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Craig Carter retains his title. It's always disappointing when a championship fight ends as a draw but that's what happens when you leave the fight in the judges hands!
