The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Early pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Johnson scores with a nice strike. Early moves into range and clinches up with Johnson. The referee calls for Johnson to work.
Early is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Johnson lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Early or not. Johnson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Early's efforts to push away. Stalling in the clinch from Johnson.
Early misses with a knee strike.
Early lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Early is looking to break free of the clinch but Johnson has double underhooks. Early wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

It looks like Jubal Early has been cut. Early wants to clinch and Johnson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Early throws a sloppy head kick and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into guard. Johnson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Johnson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Early works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Johnson with a flurry of punches that miss. Johnson stands and throws Early's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson throws a leg kick and Ballswick counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ballswick uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jackson has time to react. Jackson throws a poor cross that misses
and Ballswick counters by clinching up. Ballswick tries to land a knee to the head but Jackson blocks with his arms.
