The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knuckles uses good head movement to avoid the hook from ViSSer. ViSSer swings and misses with a shot to the body and Knuckles counters with a straight right hand. ViSSer misses with a straight right. Knuckles misses with a head kick.

and Knuckles cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from ViSSer. ViSSer throws a sloppy body shot
and Knuckles cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. ViSSer doesn't manage to clinch there - Knuckles circles away.
No joy there for Knuckles, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
ViSSer throws a wild body kick that Knuckles sees coming a mile off. A good leg kick by ViSSer. ViSSer is looking to chop away at Knuckles's legs. Knuckles connects with a high kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. ViSSer throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Knuckles avoids a lazy jab quite easily. ViSSer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Knuckles was well out of range. Poor timing from ViSSer. ViSSer thows a leg kick but Knuckles checks it and Knuckles counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. ViSSer pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Knuckles counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. ViSSer misses with an uppercut. Knuckles saw that one coming. ViSSer jabs Knuckles to the body, keeping him at a distance. ViSSer misses with a kick to the body.
ViSSer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Knuckles. ViSSer throws a leg kick and Knuckles counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A low kick from ViSSer misses letting Knuckles counter with a right hand. ViSSer lands a nice shot that snaps Knuckles's head back.
Knuckles throws a series of punches but ViSSer avoids them all with ease. ViSSer lands with a thumping leg kick.

ViSSer jabs Knuckles to the body, keeping him at a distance. ViSSer throws a right hand that misses
and Knuckles counters with a solid body kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Knuckles waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract ViSSer. Knuckles misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Knuckles throws a right and a left that ViSSer avoids nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from ViSSer. Johnny Knuckles is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A lazy left from Knuckles finds it's target. ViSSer misses the jab. Knuckles tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Knuckles on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by ViSSer. ViSSer obviously looking to wear him down.
Knuckles goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. ViSSer walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Knuckles checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. ViSSer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Knuckles throws a sloppy head kick and ViSSer moves out of range easily. Knuckles ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. ViSSer tries to work over Knuckles's front leg with a kick but Knuckles checks it. ViSSer throws a shot to the body.
ViSSer moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. ViSSer misses with a hook to the body
and Knuckles counters with a crisp one two that drops ViSSer! Knuckles thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves ViSSer to his feet! ViSSer is in big trouble!
ViSSer is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Knuckles blocks a jab. ViSSer swings widly with a right hand
and Knuckles counters with a nice uppercut. Oh ViSSer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Knuckles slips under a jab. ViSSer seems to have got his legs back now. Knuckles lands a big head kick that sends ViSSer to the canvas! Knuckles follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Becker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sox has closed the distance and engaged Becker in a clinch.
Sox has hold of one of Becker's legs. Becker is fighting the takedown attempt but Sox gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Sox looking to pass the guard. Sox avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Becker regains half guard. Becker makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Becker. Becker had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sox defends it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
El Senor Sox dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Becker looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Becker drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sox looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sox looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sox! Sox scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Becker to see if he's OK. El Senor Sox has got the better of the ground game so far. Sox is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Becker taking punishment in the form of punches.

He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sox doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sox manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Sox avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sox stands up from Becker's guard - Sox perhaps looking for a knockout. Sox takes the fight into the clinch. Sox content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Sox tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Becker avoids it. Becker is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Sox gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Sox gets through Becker's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Sox breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Becker misses with the combination.

He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Sox has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Becker's face.
Becker tries to lock up and control but Sox gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sox trying to control but Becker is having none of it. Becker is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Hui sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Rae throws a body punch but Hui moves out of range. Rae misses with a double jab
and Hui cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hui tries for a takedown but Rae circles away easily and Rae counters with a nice body kick. Hui has his takedown stuffed and Rae counters with a left to the body. James Rae is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
