The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Synephrine lands with a nice combination. Viking backs away looking to recover. Viking looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! No joy there for Synephrine, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Synephrine lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Synephrine tries to clinch but Viking is having none of it. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Wrestler or perhaps it was just good defense by Holt which made him look bad. Holt with a poor takedown and Wrestler counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Holt's guard now. Wrestler sitting in guard, not really doing much. Holt looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Wrestler is looking to stand up but Holt won't let him. Holt is working an open guard so Wrestler takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Holt throws a right and a left that Wrestler avoids nicely. Holt throws a head kick that misses. Holt waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wrestler. Holt gets in close and instigates a clinch. Holt works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Holt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wrestler is one step ahead there. Holt keeping moving, preventing Wrestler from controlling successfully. Holt tries to land a sweep but no joy. Wrestler drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wrestler jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Holt has control of Wrestler's left arm, preventing Wrestler from doing any damage. Holt on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Holt tries to get out of the position.

Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Wrestler gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Wrestler shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Holt as he jumps to the side. Wrestler looks gassed! Holt misses with a jab, cross combination.
Holt gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Wrestler counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maximus Holt. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bak motions for Bedford to come forward. Bak throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Bak wants to clinch but Bedford slips to the side and Bedford counters with a stiff right hand. Bedford lands a nice hook to Bak's body. Bak takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Bedford swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bak. Bak tries to clinch up and Bedford counters with a one-two to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bedford scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Bak is breathing heavily. Bak tries to clinch and Bedford counters with a straight right hand. Bedford rushes Bak and presses him up against the ropes. A shot in the inside from Bedford. Bedford is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Bedford lands a hook that snaps the head of Bak backwards. A short right from Bedford. With the fighters up against the ropes, Bak throws an elbow but misses. Bedford lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Bedford lands with a left to the head. With the fighters up against the ropes, Bak throws an elbow but misses. Bedford tries to break the clinch but Bak is controlling the position. Bedford has had enough of the clinch but Bak keeps him there for the moment. Bedford lands an uppercut. Bedford lands an uppercut. Bedford avoids a wild elbow strike from Bak. Bak throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Bak is rocked! Bedford cracks Bak with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Bak looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Bedford finish him?
Oh Bak is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bak gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Bedford gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Bak is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cadell shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Red counter with a right hand. Cadell fails with the takedown and Red counters with a straight right hand. Red is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cadell's half guard. Cadell is staying active underneath Red, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Cadell pushes Red off but Red dives into side control.
Red throws an elbow but Cadell slips to the side and avoids it well. Cadell wants to control but Red postures up. Red is trying to get an arm triangle but Cadell is defending well. Red stands up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cadell wants to clinch. Red should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Red gets tackled into the ropes by Cadell. Cadell maintains the clinch. Cadell manages to break the clinch.
Cadell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Red circles away quickly and effectively. Red shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cadell is trying to defend but Red finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Red is thwarting Cadell's attempts to control the position. Cadell scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Red manages to mount him!

Red isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Cadell stacks Red on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cadell! Red tries to buck Cadell off but Cadell is having none of it. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. You can see the frustration on Red's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Red escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cadell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Red is pulling down on Cadell's head. It's preventing any offense from Cadell, at least for the moment.

Boyan Cadell has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Red feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Red is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Red remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Red wants to control but Cadell is keeping him busy. Red lands a decent elbow from side control. Cadell is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Red has just dragged him back down to the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Red is pushing down on Cadell's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cadell is fighting to maintain full guard but Red has managed to sneak the leg through. Red throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Red content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Red winds up and cracks Cadell with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Red not landing any meaningful shots this time. Red is working for a submission of some sort.

Cadell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Red lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Red with a flurry of punches that miss. Red is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Red's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Red loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Red works a leg free and moves into half guard. Cadell trying to hold on to Red's head to control him but Red postures up.
Red takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Let's hope that Red has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Damien Red is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Red is trying for a kimura here. Cadell looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out!
