Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Seb Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Neil Sankar! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sankar shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Sankar trying to mount his opponent but Williams defends it. Sankar throws a strike but Williams avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Williams is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sankar is controlling him. Williams keeping moving, preventing Sankar from controlling successfully. Williams might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Williams is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Williams is looking for a triangle but Sankar pushes his legs off easily.
Williams is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sankar defends well. Williams wants to stand but Sankar is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sankar trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Williams trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Sankar trying to control the position from guard on top but Williams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Williams wants to get back to his feet but Sankar is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Williams controls Sankar momentarily but Sankar frees himself. Sankar is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Sankar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Sankar avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Sankar throws a strike but Williams rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sankar looking to control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sankar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Williams is breathing heavily. Sankar working the head and body with strikes. Sankar looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Williams with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Sankar stalling away here and it's allowed Williams to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Sankar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Williams swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sankar trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom. Sankar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Williams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sankar postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Williams controls Sankar momentarily but Sankar frees himself. Sankar working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Williams keeping moving, preventing Sankar from controlling successfully. Sankar pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Williams is keeping the position for now. Sankar trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sankar passes Williams's left leg - he's now in half guard. Williams is looking to improve his position.

Neil Sankar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sankar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Sankar looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Sankar trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Neil Sankar wasn't active enough on the ground. Sankar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Williams looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Sankar is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Williams's shoulder. That is not cool. Check out the look on Sankar's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Neil Sankar hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Sankar shoots for a double leg takedown but Williams sprawls well. He's pushed Sankar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Seb Williams has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sankar shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

And that's the end of the fight! Ryan McEvoy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well McEvoy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. McCann looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Magnum postures up and lands a big shot to McCann's brow. Magnum thows a big elbow that misses. It looks like Marlin McCann has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Magnum scores with a couple of good head shots there.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wright goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Wright throws a sloppy head kick and Shiltz moves out of range easily. Wright misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Shiltz blocks the body kick.
Shiltz takes one to the chin there. Shiltz on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Shiltz throws a lazy uppercut
and Wright counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Shiltz to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Wright!
