3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rocky Balboa! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Silva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Balboa lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Balboa gets the takedown into side control. Silva wants to get back to his feet but Balboa drags him back down. Balboa works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Balboa is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Silva's shoulder. That is not cool. Silva taking punishment in the form of punches.
Balboa passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Silva! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Balboa putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Balboa controlling his opponent. Silva in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Balboa lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Balboa fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Balboa lands with some strikes. Balboa working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Silva is rocked! Balboa is in the full mount, landing strikes. Oh Silva is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Balboa in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva tries to get back to half guard but can't. Silva seems to have got his legs back now. Silva is bucking up trying to escape but Balboa cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Silva is trying to stand. Silva is breathing heavily. Balboa fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Balboa tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Balboa lands a big shot there that rocks Silva but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Balboa is landing with some decent strikes but Silva is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Balboa loads up with a big shot that hurts Silva! He's pulled Balboa in close but Balboa has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Silva survive? More strikes from Balboa and Silva is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!

3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hector Hoffman! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cro Cop slips a jab and a cross from Hoffman.
Hoffman forces Cro Cop back against the cage and clinches. Hoffman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hoffman uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Hoffman lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. This has been an exciting period of action! Hoffman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cro Cop was well out of range. Poor timing from Hoffman. Hoffman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hoffman thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Cro Cop tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cro Cop is not content to let Hoffman control the position. Cro Cop regains half guard. Hoffman is controlling the pace.
Hoffman is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cro Cop sees it coming and defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hoffman is taking a breather. Cro Cop says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Hoffman is trying to work for a kimura but Cro Cop is defending well.
Hoffman trying to control the action but Cro Cop is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoffman controlling the action here. Hoffman is keen to just control but Cro Cop is a slippery customer. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Hector Hoffman wasn't active enough on the ground. Hoffman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cro Cop leaves Hoffman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Hoffman lands a lovely overhand right. Cro Cop shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hoffman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hoffman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cro Cop swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hoffman trying to control the position from guard on top but Cro Cop is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hoffman is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Hoffman preventing the sweep.
Hector Hoffman has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Hoffman misses with a series of wild punches.
Cro Cop gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Hoffman to counter with a crisp jab. A big right followed by a crushing left from Hoffman knocks Cro Cop out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kirillov with a poor takedown and Rogers connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Rogers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kirillov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kirillov has his foot on Rogers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rogers works his way back into a safe position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kirillov looks gassed! Kirillov is working an open guard so Rogers takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Rogers bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Rogers in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Rogers in side control lands a decent elbow. Rogers landing a few strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rogers works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Kirillov wants to control but Rogers postures up. Kirillov on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Rogers just content to control the position. Check out the look on Rogers's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Rogers looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Rogers is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kirillov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kirillov takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Rogers working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Kirillov is trying to control Rogers's posture but Rogers avoids it. Rogers cracks Kirillov with a big right hand but Kirillov just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Rogers scores with punches from side control. Rogers wants to control but Kirillov is keeping him busy. Rogers looks up at the clock and then as Kirillov takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Rogers smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Rogers stands up and beckons Kirillov to his feet. Rogers looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kirillov has hold of Rogers's hands but Rogers slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Rogers slows the pace down in half guard. Rogers winds up and cracks Kirillov with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Rogers is trying to work for a kimura but Kirillov is defending well.

Kirillov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rogers pulls his head out easily. Rogers moves nicely into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kirillov can't do much from the bottom here. Rogers working the ground and pound from side control. Rogers is chipping away with strikes.
Rogers is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kirillov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Rogers creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Rogers trying to control the action but Kirillov is working from the bottom. Kirillov on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Rogers is working to tighten is grip on Kirillov's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kirillov has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Rogers is really squeezing tight and eventually Kirillov passes out! Rogers breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Joe misses with a left hand and Emperor moves into the clinch. Joe lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Joe misses with some punches.
Emperor stalling in the clinch but Joe improves position. Emperor pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Emperor connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Emperor tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Joe manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Joe keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Emperor is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Joe misses the body punch and Emperor counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Joe misses with a lunging right hand
so Emperor counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Emperor wants to control from the top but Joe keeps moving. Emperor being controlled here momentarily. Joe is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Joe working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Emperor. Emperor loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Emperor postures up.

and Emperor counters with a shoot takedown. Joe fights it but they end up in guard. Joe on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Joe tries to get out of the position. Joe is adopting a defensive guard. Emperor tries to free his leg and advance position but Joe is retaining full guard. Joe has control of Emperor's left arm, preventing Emperor from doing any damage. Joe controls Emperor momentarily but Emperor frees himself.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Kid Joe just wasn't active enough. Joe throws a big shot that misses. Joe waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Emperor. Nice body punch from Joe. Joe connects with a body shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Emperor wants to clinch up but Joe keeps it at a distance. Emperor looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kid Joe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wanderlei Emperor. Emperor fails with the takedown and Joe counters with a nice uppercut. Joe scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Emperor. Emperor looks gassed! Emperor tries to close the distance and clinch up but Joe swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kid Joe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Emperor misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Joe's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Joe duly obliges. Joe fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Emperor looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Joe fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Joe ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joe lands a nice hook to Emperor's body. Emperor takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. An inside leg kick lands from Joe. Joe jabs at Emperor's body. Joe works Emperor's body with a nice hook. Emperor tries to move into range but Joe moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Joe throws a nice outside leg kick. Emperor closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Joe scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Emperor doesn't seem bothered though. This has been an exciting period of action! Joe works Emperor's body with a nice hook. Emperor takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Joe cracks Emperor with an open hand slap. Donk. Joe catches Emperor right on the button with a cross. Joe ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Emperor on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Joe scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Joe dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Joe lands with an overhand left. Joe closes the distance and lands a one-two.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Joe fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Joe lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Emperor is rocked! Joe cracks Emperor on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Emperor falls backwards against the cage. Joe follows up with more strikes that drop Emperor to his knees. Joe keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Emperor! This one is all over!

It looks like Vitor Belfort has been cut. Belfort misses with a takedown attempt and Uzomaki scores with a counter punch that sends Belfort to the canvas! Uzomaki smells blood - he's punishing Belfort with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Belfort has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

He's simply no match for Wesley on the ground. Wesley looking for the RNC.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wesley is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Roger has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Wesley has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Roger taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Wesley doesn't care though - he's delighted!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peinetti fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bread shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Peinetti is trying to defend but Bread finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Bread is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Peinetti sees it coming and defends easily. Bread is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Peinetti doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bread. Bread working the head and body with strikes. Bread not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Bread takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Bread is nestled in close to Peinetti, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Bread throwing shots but Peinetti is blocking nicely. Bread working over Peinetti with some ground and pound. Peinetti looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Bread slips a nice elbow through Peinetti's hands, connecting with Peinetti's forehead.
