The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Semtex fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Foxall has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Foxall throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Semtex tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Foxall is in Semtex's guard.
Semtex has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Foxall has passed into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Semtex can do anything to dispel that myth.
Foxall decides to stand back up. Foxall steps back and let's Semtex get back to his feet.
Foxall drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Foxall has hold of Semtex's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Semtex tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Foxall cranks the arm and Semtex screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Semtex, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
