The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morimune has his takedown stuffed and Manhoef counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Manhoef stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Manhoef wants it to stay on the feet. Morimune gets the takedown into side control. Morimune advances to full mount. Morimune is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Manhoef has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Manhoef! Morimune is controlling Manhoef's posture. Morimune throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Morimune drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Manhoef dives on top into guard. Manhoef won't allow Morimune to sweep him here. Manhoef is posturing up here but Morimune has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Manhoef tries to roll out but it's too tight and Manhoef has to tap! Slick submission there by Morimune!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fulton moves into range and connects with a jab. A big left from Fulton misses. Beetlejuice doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fulton makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Beetlejuice moves to clinch but Fulton breaks away and Fulton counters with a lovely shot to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Beetlejuice fails with the takedown and Fulton moves into the clinch. Beetlejuice is breathing heavily. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Beetlejuice stalling.
Fulton unloads a knee to the mid-section. Fulton lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Beetlejuice or not. A short left from Fulton. Fulton seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Beetlejuice does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Fulton has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Beetlejuice misses with a takedown attempt and Fulton counters with a lovely shot to the body. The fighters circling - Fulton throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Fulton lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Beetlejuice backs up against the cage.
Beetlejuice moves to clinch but Fulton breaks away letting Fulton counter with a right hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fulton lands the left hand. Fulton looks to score with a jab to the body but Beetlejuice is just out of range. Lester Beetlejuice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fulton throws a hook to the side of Beetlejuice's head but Beetlejuice sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fulton lands a jab to the nose. Fulton jabs at Beetlejuice's body. Fulton lands a nice hook to Beetlejuice's body. Beetlejuice takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Fulton stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Fulton throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Fulton throws a lazy right hand but Beetlejuice sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Fulton lands with a nice body punch. Beetlejuice keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Fulton fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Fulton throws a right and a left that both miss. Beetlejuice moves away from the strike by Fulton. Fulton cracks Beetlejuice with an open hand slap. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fulton misses with a wild combination.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tra Fulton hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Fulton swings and misses with a shot to the body and Beetlejuice counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Beetlejuice is keen to just control but Fulton is a slippery customer. Fulton tries to get to full guard but Beetlejuice has control of the leg. Fulton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Beetlejuice is working away from the top position though.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Akio Hideyoshi. Well Severn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. and Zero counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Uppercut lands with a nice body punch. Zero throws a hook but Uppercut blocks it. Zero fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Uppercut lands a jab to the head.
Zero shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Zero prevents Uppercut from getting the reversal. Zero is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! Uppercut slips out almost immediately though and dives into Zero's guard. Uppercut is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Uppercut wants to control but Zero is keeping him busy. Zero tries to bench press Uppercut off him but Uppercut keeps the position. Uppercut has hold of Zero's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Zero tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Uppercut cranks the arm and Zero screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Zero, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Fuujin tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Sweet counters with a lovely straight right hand! Sweet stuffs the takedown. Sweet throws a right and a left that Fuujin avoids nicely. Fuujin blocks a leg kick. Sweet uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Fuujin has control of Sweet's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sweet regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Fuujin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sweet knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Fuujin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fuujin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sweet is not content to let Fuujin control the position. Fuujin throws out a loose jab but Sweet uses good head movement to avoid it. Fuujin scores with a hook. Fuujin lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Verzosa uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kaalikorva. Kaalikorva tries to clinch but Verzosa is having none of it. Kaalikorva tries to clinch there but Verzosa circles away.
