Nelson throws a series of punches but Mathers avoids them all with ease.
Nelson throws a lazy uppercut
and Mathers counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Roy Nelson has been cut.
Nelson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Nelson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Nelson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Nelson frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Mathers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nelson on the ground.
Nelson tries to control but Mathers wriggling away.
Nelson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mathers kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Ironside looks to land a combination. Thunderclap sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Tank Thunderclap has been cut.
Thunderclap staying out of range there.
Ironside scores with a hook.

Ironside feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ironside stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Thunderclap swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
East keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A low kick from East is predictable there
and Barker counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Barker scores with a decent looking hook.

East ducks under a wild hook from Barker.
Barker ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Barker scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. East doesn't seem bothered though.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from East lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Barker has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Barker and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and East makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Barker really felt that one!

Barker's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
