2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Vaughn! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vaughn does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Vaughn throws a combination that misses and Soze counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Soze slips a jab and a cross from Vaughn.
Soze shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Vaughn is trying to defend but Soze finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Soze is looking to advance position but Vaughn won't allow it.
Soze wants to work for an arm triangle but Vaughn is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Soze working the head and body with strikes. Soze thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Soze seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. Vaughn is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Soze pulls his head out easily.

Soze is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vaughn is just riding it out for now. Soze eventually gives up the hold. Vaughn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Soze. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Vaughn is looking to control Soze's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Vaughn avoid being mounted? Soze thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Vaughn's head. Soze sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Vaughn defending well though.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Soze is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Soze looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Vaughn with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Soze passes the guard and advances to mount! Soze is in the full mount, landing strikes. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Soze cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Vaughn tries to get back to half guard but can't. Vaughn takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. A nice elbow there by Soze. Soze landing shots from mount. Soze landing punches.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Soze lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Vaughn hang on? Vaughn in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Soze looking to control and managing it successfully.
Soze is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Vaughn can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

BOOM! Soze connects with a massive shot to the dome!

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Soze unloading with bombs! Soze trying to control but Vaughn is having none of it. Soze landing punches. Soze landing strikes from the mount and Vaughn is in trouble!
Soze has hold of Vaughn's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Vaughn manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Soze lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Soze working for a guillotine from mount but Vaughn is in no mood to give up. Soze has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Vaughn's face.

Vaughn misses with a double jab.
Vaughn swings and misses with a shot to the body and Soze counters with a nice uppercut. Soze shoots in but no luck this time. The fighters circle momentarily. Soze darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Vaughn tries a head kick but it misses.
Vaughn gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Soze engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Vaughn wants to sweep here but Soze controlling him for the moment. Soze lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Soze stopping the sweep attempt from Vaughn.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Soze connects with a couple of short punches. Soze is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vaughn can do to turn this around?

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice combination there by Davis.
 It looks like Nick Ouellette has been cut. Davis throws an off balance right hand
and Ouellette counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Davis! Ouellette won't let Davis get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Ouellette lands a heavy elbow. Davis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Davis tries to get out of the position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ouellette fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Davis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ouellette on the ground. Ouellette lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Ouellette looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
 Davis is rocked! Ouellette connects with a bit shot that sees Davis covering up! More strikes from Ouellette and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Ouellette is our winner by TKO!

 That has opened up Nixon Biggins's cut even more. Smith lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. A short uppercut from Smith. Smith has Biggins pressed against the cage.

 The cut above Nixon Biggins's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Biggins takes an elbow to the forehead.
 Nixon Biggins's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Smith landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Smith throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Biggins blocks it with crossed arms. Biggins working hard to break the clinch. Smith gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Nixon Biggins's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Makunouchi is fighting to maintain full guard but Muggerud II has managed to sneak the leg through. Oh Makunouchi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Muggerud II is looking for a kimura but Makunouchi is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Muggerud II to get the leverage. Makunouchi seems to have got his legs back now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Muggerud II uses his free foot to push down on Makunouchi 's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Makunouchi .

William shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Egan tries to bum rush William with a series of wild strikes but William uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Egan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but William moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Egan throws a combination that misses and William counters with an inside leg kick. Danga de danga de dang - Egan scores with a four punch combination! Egan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Egan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but William moves away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Egan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but William moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Egan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. William sees it coming and avoids it easily. William uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Egan.

and William counters with a nice double leg into half guard. William is thwarting Egan's attempts to control the position.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cuevas fails with a takedown attempt. Cuevas circles away from the clinch attempt
and Cuevas counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ransel! Ransel takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Cuevas throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Ishikawa tries to work over McPot's front leg with a kick but McPot checks it. Ishikawa stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from McPot. McPot throws a nice looking combination but Ishikawa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. McPot darts in and out, connecting with a jab. McPot is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Ishikawa bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Ishikawa thuds a left hand into McPot's body. McPot thows a body kick. Ishikawa tries to catch it but that hurt him. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! McPot crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ishikawa - the referee stops the clock and McPot gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ishikawa. McPot manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. McPot scoring well with a low kick there.
