Khan creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Jenson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Khan lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jenson down.

You can see the frustration on Jenson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jenson can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Khan sneaks back into half guard.
Jenson stalling away here and it's allowed Khan to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Jenson is looking to stand up but Khan won't let him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Jenson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Khan avoids the body shot from Jenson.
Khan misses with a straight left.

and Khan counters with a stiff right hand.
Jenson ducks under a wild hook from Khan.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Khan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jenson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Khan loads up on a big right hand but Jenson slips the punch.

Khan has gone for a leg lock! Jenson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Khan's guard.
Khan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

You get the feeling that Jenson really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Lars Jenson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Lars Jenson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
