Undercard bout

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arthur McDermott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Six Shooter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDermott comes to the cage accompanied by Village People - YMCA. Shooter has chosen DJ Antoine - Ma Cherie as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shooter throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Shooter walks into a stiff left hand from McDermott.

It looks like Six Shooter has been cut.
McDermott smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
McDermott falls off balance throwing a combination

and Shooter counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in McDermott's guard now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Shooter postures up.
Shooter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McDermott swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shooter stays in close to McDermott's body and controls the position.
McDermott wants to hit a switch here but Shooter passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for McDermott there!

Shooter is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but McDermott is surviving well by controlling Shooter's body position as best he can.

Shooter has got his arm under McDermott's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! McDermott has spun round into Shooter's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Shooter is on top in guard.

Shooter postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McDermott is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Shooter, into his guard.

Keane will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Balboa throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Keane counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Keane slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Balboa shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Keane eats them both and turns towards Balboa to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

and Keane counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Balboa!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Keane is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Balboa can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Keane is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Balboa has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Balboa has left one of his arms exposed and Keane doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Balboa screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
