The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick by Balboa misses and Batali counters with a nice uppercut. Balboa rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Batali counters with a crisp right hand that drops Balboa! Batali lets Balboa back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Balboa is rocked! A head kick by Batali - that's a beauty! Balboa is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Batali can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mallao keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A big right from Simpson misses. Mallao scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Mallao tries to get to his feet but Simpson is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Mallao in his guard. Simpson is pulling down on Mallao's head to control his posture. Simpson keeping moving, preventing Mallao from controlling successfully. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Simpson is on top in guard.

Let's hope that Simpson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Simpson controlling from mount. Simpson working away from the top, dropping strikes. Mallao knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Simpson on the ground. Simpson working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Simpson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Simpson controlling the position easily from mount. Mallao is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Simpson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Masni shoots in looking for a takedown but Mallao manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Masni's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Masni looks to throw a body kick and Mallao counters with a stiff right hand. Masni shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Masni throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Masni misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

No damage this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Roger Mallao showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mallao, winning every round. Will the judges agree? The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bato tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Bato misses with a hook to the body
and Mancini counters with a nice uppercut. Bato clinches with his opponent.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Bato putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Mancini in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Bato drags the fight down to the ground.
Bato trying to keep a closed guard but Mancini is proving a slippery customer.
Bato is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mancini is controlling him. Mancini is looking to stand up but Bato won't let him.

Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A shot to the liver by Mancini. Beautiful body shot. The crowd cheers as Mancini lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bato doesn't seem phased though. Mancini scores with a hook to the body. Bato takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Mancini connects with a body shot. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mancini fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bato looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Mancini connects with a single shot there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mancini changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Mancini scores with a jab. Bato acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Popoy Bato is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mancini lands a body shot.
Mancini displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bato. Mancini lands a head shot. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mancini cracks Bato with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Mancini has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Bato to stand back up!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bartolome tries to bum rush Mandapat with a series of wild strikes but Mandapat uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Mandapat throws a jab but it's blocked by Bartolome. Ricardo Bartolome seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mandapat misses with a wild body shot. A looping hook to the body misses from Bartolome. Mandapat does a little dance to reset his feet. Bartolome throws a shot from downtown. Mandapat moves away and avoids it. The fighters circling - Bartolome throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Nice shot lands for Mandapat.
