Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Taru Big Boy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shawn Voitsek! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Voitsek misses with a series of wild punches.
Shawn Voitsek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Voitsek shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Big Boy counters with a takedown into side control. Big Boy wants to control but Voitsek is keeping him busy. Voitsek manages to work his way to half guard, despite Big Boy's best efforts. Big Boy not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Big Boy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Voitsek keeps working. Voitsek wants to get back to his feet.
Big Boy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Voitsek does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Taru Big Boy just wasn't active enough. Voitsek shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Big Boy counters with a one-two to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Big Boy wants to clinch but Voitsek slips to the side and Voitsek counters with a nice double leg into guard. Voitsek looks gassed! Voitsek trying to control but Big Boy is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Big Boy wants to sweep but no luck. Voitsek trying to stand up but can't free himself from Big Boy's guard. Voitsek preventing the sweep. Voitsek tries to free his leg and advance position but Big Boy is retaining full guard. Big Boy trying to keep a closed guard but Voitsek is proving a slippery customer.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Big Boy tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Voitsek manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sloppy strikes from Big Boy. Those never looked like landing. Big Boy clinches up with Voitsek and pushes him back against the ropes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Big Boy wants to break free but Voitsek has control.
Big Boy can't break the clinch.
Big Boy wants to get back to striking at distance but Voitsek won't allow it.
Big Boy has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Voitsek wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A frustrated look appears on Big Boy's face as he tries to break the clinch. Big Boy pulls guard effortlessly. Voitsek stopping the sweep attempt from Big Boy. Voitsek is fighting to break Big Boy's control of his arms but Big Boy is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Voitsek throwing strikes from guard but Big Boy blocks nicely. Big Boy trying to control the position.
Taru Big Boy has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Big Boy cracks a nice hook into Voitsek's ribs. Big Boy shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Voitsek moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Voitsek shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Big Boy as he avoids it easily. Taru Big Boy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shawn Voitsek. Big Boy closes the distance and clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Big Boy jumps guard but Voitsek stands there with Big Boy around his waist. Big Boy gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Voitsek content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Voitsek scores with a shoulder strike. Voitsek wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Voitsek has Big Boy pressed against the ropes, preventing Big Boy from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Big Boy manages to break the clinch.
Big Boy throws a combination that misses and Voitsek counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Big Boy's guard now. Voitsek postures up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Big Boy looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Big Boy trying to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Taru Big Boy dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Voitsek looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Big Boy misses with a takedown attempt and Voitsek counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Big Boy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Voitsek thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Big Boy trying to keep a closed guard but Voitsek is proving a slippery customer.
Voitsek decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Big Boy tries for a takedown but Voitsek circles away easily and Voitsek counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Big Boy's guard now. Voitsek trying to control but Big Boy is working from the bottom. Voitsek might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Big Boy kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Voitsek tries to stand but Big Boy is controlling from the bottom. Voitsek postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Voitsek trying to control the position from guard on top but Big Boy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Shawn Voitsek. Big Boy tries a head kick but it misses.
Big Boy tries to clinch there but Voitsek circles away.
Big Boy slaps away a takedown attempt from Voitsek, before circling back to the center of the mat. Big Boy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Voitsek counters with a takedown into side control. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Taru Big Boy. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Big Boy is looking for a sweep. An elbow from Voitsek crashes against the mat.
Big Boy takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Big Boy tries to improve position but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Voitsek trying to control the position but Big Boy is working away. Big Boy is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Voitsek asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Big Boy can't do much from the bottom here. Big Boy is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Voitsek is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Big Boy is trying to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shawn Voitsek showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Voitsek working Big Boy over with strikes. Big Boy avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Voitsek. Big Boy is trying to maintain the position but Voitsek is very close to passing his half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Voitsek landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Voitsek missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Big Boy is not content to let Voitsek control the position. Voitsek working Big Boy over with strikes. Voitsek performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Big Boy tries to roll over but Voitsek keeps him under control. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Big Boy controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Shawn Voitsek wasn't active enough on the ground. Big Boy is looking to clinch. Voitsek drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Big Boy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Big Boy looks to score with a jab to the body but Voitsek is just out of range. Voitsek shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Big Boy napping and manages to drive through into side control! Voitsek working the ground and pound. Voitsek with the ground and pound but Big Boy regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Big Boy is looking to improve his position.
Voitsek misses with a head shot. Big Boy uses the momentum to regain guard. Voitsek trying to control the position from guard on top but Big Boy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Big Boy lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Voitsek!
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Big Boy wants to get back to his feet but Voitsek is holding on tight.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Big Boy trying to control but he's not successful this time. Voitsek squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Big Boy looking to control but Voitsek is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Voitsek is looking to get to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Shawn Voitsek comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Voitsek has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fraser looks for the body kick but Jones saw that one coming. Jones closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fraser to the mat! Fraser manages to get full guard. Jones stands up over Fraser, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
It looks like Mac Fraser has been cut. Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jones drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Fraser manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jones has Fraser in his guard. Fraser trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jones's guard. Jones keeping full guard, as Fraser tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fraser trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Fraser throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely. Fraser tries to stand but Jones is controlling from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jones wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Fraser throws a sloppy head kick and Jones moves out of range easily. No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones works Fraser's body with a nice hook. Fraser fails in his attempt to clinch. Fraser has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Mac Fraser's cut is getting worse. Fraser shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jones counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Fraser!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fraser wants to hold on but Jones pushes him away. Jones unloading with bombs!
Mac Fraser's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mac Fraser's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grapling shoots and misses and Stevenson counters with a series of strikes. Grapling will be more careful next time no doubt. Stevenson tries to clinch but Grapling is having none of it. Grapling walks into a left hand. Nice shot lands for Stevenson. Stevenson throws a nice looking combination but Grapling bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Grapling dodges the punch combination from Stevenson.
Stevenson throws a head kick that Grapling semi-blocks.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stevenson misses with a straight left. Grapling gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Grapling shoots and misses and Grapling takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Stevenson throws a head kick that misses. Stevenson looks to throw the jab but Grapling is out of range. Stevenson lands a right hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Stevenson misses the target. Stevenson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Grapler Grapling has been cut. Stevenson misses with a head kick.
Stevenson tries a head kick but it misses.
Stevenson lands an overhand right. Stevenson lands a big head kick that sends Grapling tumbling to the mat! Stevenson takes a step backwards and waves Grapling back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Grapling is rocked! Greg Stevenson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Grapling doesn't succeed with the takedown and Stevenson counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
