 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Starn tries to clinch there but Gunn circles away.
Starn has a takedown stuffed. Gunn rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Starn moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kyle Gunn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Starn misses with a head kick.
Starn misses with a takedown attempt - Gunn sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Gunn feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gunn is pushing down on Starn's leg trying to pass to half guard. Starn is fighting to maintain full guard but Gunn has managed to sneak the leg through.

Gunn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Starn is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Gunn working away. Starn is looking to reverse the position. Gunn tries to move to mount but Starn blocks the move with his legs. Gunn wants to control but Starn is keeping him busy. Starn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Vanquisher shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Vanquisher showed some decent athleticism there. Vanquisher landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Vanquisher working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Haselcase's thigh. Haselcase counters though and makes it back to full guard. Vanquisher throws a strike but Haselcase rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Haselcase won't allow Vanquisher to get back to his feet.
