9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Connor Kelly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Mauro Mateus dos Santos! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kelly with a hook. dos Santos walks into a left hand. Kelly tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but dos Santos swivels and escapes. Kelly connects with a single shot there. Kelly shoots for a double leg takedown but dos Santos sprawls well. He's pushed Kelly's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kelly throws a looping overhand right but dos Santos ducks down to avoid it. dos Santos slips under a jab. Kelly lands a nice looking kick to the body. dos Santos takes a step back to recover.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kelly misses with a body punch
and dos Santos counters with a lovely straight right hand! dos Santos tries to clinch and Kelly counters with a stiff right hand. Kelly swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. dos Santos ducks under a wild hook from Kelly. dos Santos stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kelly. Horrible takedown by Kelly or perhaps it was just good defense by dos Santos which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Connor Kelly. That's going to take a lot out of him. dos Santos darts in trying to clinch and dos Santos takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Kelly will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. dos Santos needs to keep his hands up - Kelly had a free shot at his head there. dos Santos tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kelly connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kelly connects with a body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kelly shoots in looking for a takedown. dos Santos tries to sprawl out of it but Kelly keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. dos Santos manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. dos Santos checks the leg kick nicely there.
Kelly stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Kelly throws out a leg kick but dos Santos moves out of range and Kelly only half commits. Kelly is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Nice straight punches there by Kelly. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kelly.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. dos Santos walks into a straight right hand from Kelly. Kelly scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kelly in particular looking to stall. Kelly changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. dos Santos looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kelly wants to lay and pray for a moment but dos Santos keeps working. Kelly controlling the position. Kelly is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. dos Santos knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Kelly is looking to take a break and control but dos Santos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kelly is looking for a kimura. He might have it! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thirtynine throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kasumi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Kasumi tries to sprawl but Howard drives through with a takedown into half guard. Howard working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Kasumi has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Howard is working away from the top position though. Howard throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Howard is nestled in close to Kasumi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Kasumi is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Howard jumps into side control! Howard wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kasumi keeps working. Howard grinds an elbow into Kasumi's temple. Howard throwing shots but missing, from side control. Kasumi gets back to half guard. Kasumi looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Howard thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kasumi's head.

Scylla tries to escape but McPain has the hooks in and won't let him break free. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Carson's guard. Kinte got a little sloppy there for a moment and Carson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kinte has managed to get both his arms back between Carson's legs - danger averted. Kinte tries to free his leg and advance position but Carson is retaining full guard. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cox tries to clinch but Aguinaldo moves out of range. Cox throws a lazy uppercut

Aguinaldo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Aguinaldo wants to control from the top but Cox keeps moving. Cox wants to stand and escape but Aguinaldo is having none of it. Aguinaldo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. and Aguinaldo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Aguinaldo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Aguinaldo throwing shots but Cox is blocking nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cox wants to get back to his feet. Cox blocking the ground and pound attempt from Aguinaldo. Cox keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Aguinaldo throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Aguinaldo not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Aguinaldo misses with a head shot. Cox uses the momentum to regain guard. Aguinaldo looking to sit in guard and control but Cox gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Aguinaldo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Aguinaldo wants to pass the guard but Cox is defending well. Aguinaldo trying to control from half guard but Cox is working away. Aguinaldo is controlling the pace.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cox tries to kick Aguinaldo off in order to stand up. Aguinaldo Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Perry Cox showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Andres Aguinaldo's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Andres Aguinaldo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Aguinaldo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cox works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Aguinaldo wants to control from the top but Cox keeps moving.
