The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sonnen tries for a takedown but Bechara circles away easily and Bechara counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Sonnen with a lazy takedown attempt and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Sonnen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Bechara looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Sonnen with a poor takedown enabling Bechara to counter with a crisp jab. Evanildo Bechara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chael Sonnen. Sonnen misses with a takedown attempt and Bechara makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Chael Sonnen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sonnen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bechara counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Bechara lands a head shot. Bechara lands a nice shot that snaps Sonnen's head back.
Sonnen misses with a takedown attempt enabling Bechara to counter with a crisp jab. Bechara with a body punch. A glancing blow. Bechara is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bechara jabs Sonnen right on the nose. Sonnen blinks but takes it well. Sonnen has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Bechara scores with a nice right hand.

The crowd cheers as Bechara lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sonnen doesn't seem phased though. Sonnen misses with a takedown attempt and Bechara counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Bechara punishes Sonnen's body with a nice straight punch. Bechara throws a series of strikes that have Sonnen backpedaling.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sonnen takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Bechara lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Sonnen wants to clinch and Bechara counters with a two punch combo. Bechara throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Sonnen is trying desperately to land a takedown but Bechara is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Sonnen. Good shot there by Bechara. Bechara lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Nice straight punches there by Bechara. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Bechara. Sonnen misses with a takedown attempt and Bechara counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Bechara throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Bechara works Sonnen's body with a nice hook. That kick from Bechara tenderised Sonnen's leg. Sonnen is trying to keep his angry face on. Bechara uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sonnen has time to react. Evanildo Bechara is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sonnen tries for a takedown but Bechara circles away easily and Bechara counters with a lovely straight right hand! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Bechara cracks the inside of Sonnen's front leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Sonnen might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Bechara has got the better of the exchanges. That's going to take a lot out of Chael Sonnen. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bechara lands with a nice body punch. Bechara is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Bechara scores with a nice strike. Bechara with a hook. Andersen kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sultans Of Swing. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

That was a close second round but I would say that Henric Andersen will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

and Andersen counters with a single leg into guard. Last didn't expect that. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Last wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Last manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

First Last has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Last can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Andersen is looking to escape. Andersen tries to buck Last off but he can't manage it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Andersen is looking to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Andersen wants to hold on but Last pushes him away. Andersen regains half guard. Last sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Andersen defending well though. Andersen regains full guard. Nicely done. Andersen has his foot on Last's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Last works his way back into a safe position though. Last's corner is telling him to maintain position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Last postures up.

and Buckles counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Nice shot lands for Milat. Milat throws out a loose jab but Buckles uses good head movement to avoid it. Buckles uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Milat.

Oliveira lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
