2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kuroda Atsushi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dan Lee! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Atsushi fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lee to the ground. Atsushi is now in Lee's guard. Atsushi wants to pass the guard but Lee is keeping the position. Atsushi controlling from the top position. Atsushi is working Lee over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Atsushi controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Atsushi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Atsushi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Lee preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Atsushi throwing strikes but missing. Atsushi trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom. Lee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Atsushi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Atsushi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Lee can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Atsushi controls the pace. Atsushi wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kuroda Atsushi. Atsushi attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Atsushi scores with a leg kick.
Atsushi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lee jabbing away but nothing is landing. Atsushi wants to land a leg kick but Lee is out of range. Atsushi gets a double leg takedown into Lee's guard. Atsushi is looking to work some ground and pound but Lee has wrist control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lee keeping moving, preventing Atsushi from controlling successfully. Atsushi postures up in Lee's guard and throws a big left but Lee blocks it.

Atsushi is pushing down on Lee's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lee is fighting to maintain full guard but Atsushi has managed to sneak the leg through. Atsushi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lee is just riding it out for now. Atsushi eventually gives up the hold. Lee avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Atsushi.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Atsushi tries to pass to full mount but Lee defends it. Atsushi missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Atsushi throwing shots but Lee is blocking nicely. Atsushi trying to pass the guard but Lee defending well. Atsushi is trying to control. Lee wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Atsushi not doing much here.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lee walks away with a smile on his face. Atsushi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Lee goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Atsushi blocks a head kick by Lee.

Lee rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Atsushi moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Atsushi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lee's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Atsushi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Lee keeping full guard, as Atsushi tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Atsushi passes Lee's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Atsushi passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Atsushi landing strikes, looking to finish! Atsushi looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Atsushi punching from mount but Lee doing a good job of avoiding damage. Atsushi is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lee has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Atsushi throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Kuroda Atsushi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lee is squirming around, avoiding Atsushi's attempts to control the action. Atsushi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Atsushi throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Sierra circles away out of range and recomposes himself. This has been an exciting period of action! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sierra. Sierra will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Felipe looking to score a takedown here. Pounder is defending well but Felipe drives through and ends up in Pounder's guard. Felipe working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Felipe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pounder works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Pounder trying to keep a closed guard but Felipe is proving a slippery customer.

The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Felipe looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Felipe! Felipe tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Felipe has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Felipe is trying to get an arm triangle but Pounder is defending well. Felipe wants to control for a moment but Pounder uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Felipe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Pounder can't keep his opponent in guard - Felipe advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Felipe seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Pounder has recovered full guard. Felipe with a flurry of punches that miss. Felipe postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Felipe slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Felipe trying to control the action but Pounder is working from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luis Felipe dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Pounder tries to clinch up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Felipe. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pounder tries to bench press Felipe off him but Felipe keeps the position. Felipe throws an elbow but Pounder slips to the side and avoids it well. Felipe thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Felipe taking a break here but Pounder is having none of it and regains half guard. Pounder wants to get back to full guard. Felipe is working for a kimura but Pounder is defending it quite comfortably.

This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Felipe has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Pounder to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Felipe is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Pounder pulls down on the head and he's put Felipe to sleep! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Henderson with that takedown attempt. Blythe throws a head kick but Henderson moves out of range.

Murphy looks gassed! Sokojuice lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Murphy circles away quickly and effectively. Charlie Murphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sokojuice lands with a nice body punch. Sokojuice feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Murphy crashing to the mat!
