2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Max Freak Show! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Youfarley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Freak Show's waist but Freak Show gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Youfarley off to one side. Youfarley takes a swing at Freak Show's ribcage but misses. Freak Show takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Freak Show blocks a head kick by Youfarley.
Youfarley shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Freak Show as he avoids it easily. Youfarley buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Youfarley tries to clinch but Freak Show moves out of range. Youfarley fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Freak Show avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chuck Youfarley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Youfarley has a takedown stuffed. Freak Show closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Youfarley did well to prevent Freak Show getting side control.

Freak Show works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Youfarley tries to buck Freak Show off but Freak Show is having none of it. The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Youfarley looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Youfarley! Youfarley wants to stand but Freak Show is controlling his arm. Youfarley working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Youfarley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Freak Show keeps working.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Freak Show can do anything to dispel that myth. Freak Show tries to bench press Youfarley off him but Youfarley keeps the position. Youfarley working the ground and pound but Freak Show is defending the strikes. Chuck Youfarley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Max Freak Show is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
