The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson scores with a nice strike. Anderson connects with a solid leg kick. Anderson looks to score with a jab to the body but Taiki is just out of range. Anderson lands a jab to the nose. Taiki swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Anderson misses with a leg kick and Taiki counters with a nice kick to the body. Taiki throws a lazy head kick and Anderson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A punch lands to the side of Taiki 's head but he takes it in his stride. Anderson takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Anderson is breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Anderson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Taiki moves away. Taiki looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. A low kick from Anderson misses and Taiki counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Anderson off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Taiki follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Anderson was out before he hit the floor.

A close third round but Red Fox just about did enough to take it. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Fox closes the distance and clinches up with Lomax, looking for a takedown. Fox pushes Lomax against the ropes but Lomax circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Fox misses with the body kick and Lomax counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Lomax thows a body shot but no joy. Lomax throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Lomax bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fox's guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Fox is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lomax is pushing down on Fox's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fox is fighting to maintain full guard but Lomax has managed to sneak the leg through. Lomax missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Lomax is keen to just control but Fox is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Fox keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Lomax lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Lomax trying to control the action but Fox is working from the bottom. Lomax working the head and body with strikes. Lomax wants to pass the guard but Fox is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fox regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Lomax. Fox is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lomax defends well. Lomax will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Lomax trying to control but Fox is working from the bottom. Lomax has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Lomax throws and elbow that misses. Fox uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lomax's guard. Nice move by Fox! Lomax is pulling down on Fox's head to control his posture. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Clint Lomax wasn't doing enough on the ground. Fox keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

A low kick from Lomax is predictable there and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Lomax rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Fox counters with a nice low kick that buckles Lomax's knee momentarily. Lomax drops his hands momentarily and Fox takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lomax waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Fox. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fox, as that shot connected.
Fox is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Lomax swings for the body but Fox moves out of range.
Fox walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Fox misses with the combination.

and Fox moves into the clinch. Fox has a couple of punches blocked by Lomax.

letting Fox counter with a right hand. Fox tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Lomax paws at him with a jab and circles away. Lomax connects with an inside leg kick. Fox misses with a few strikes there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lomax throws a sloppy head kick and Fox moves out of range easily. Lomax misses with a lunging right hand
and Fox counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Fox misses with a low kick.
Fox loads up on a big right hand but Lomax slips the punch. Fox throws a leg kick and Lomax counters with a leg kick. A bone on bone clash there as Fox blocks the leg kick.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddell wants to clinch but Sackett slips to the side and Sackett counters with a nice body shot. A telegraphed right hand from Liddell misses the target. Sackett swats away the attempt to clinch by Liddell. Liddell tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sackett was well out of range. Poor timing from Liddell. Liddell misses with a series of wild punches.
Sackett keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Sackett.
Sackett tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Liddell misses with an uppercut
and Sackett counters with a nice leg kick. Liddell looks gassed! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sackett lands with a slapping head kick. Sackett drops Liddell with a left right combo! Sackett follows him down to the ground into side control.
Liddell is rocked!
It looks like Mark Liddell has been cut. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Sackett creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Liddell is still in real trouble! Can Sackett finish him? A big shot lands for Sackett! That's hurt Liddell! Will he recover? Sackett fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
