The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lyons attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Lyons is looking to slow Banks down with leg kicks.
Banks misses with an uppercut
and Lyons counters with a good low kick that Banks was not able to check.
Lyons tries to close the distance and clinch but Banks swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lyons scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Banks lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Ace Lyons has been cut.

Lyons fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Banks.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Savage slips a straight right by Hoy.
Hoy throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hoy takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Savage's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hoy connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Savage scrambles back to his feet.
Savage pivots, looking for a leg kick but Hoy is out of range and Savage settles back down.
Nice defenses there by Savage.
Savage throws a head kick that half lands.
Hoy throws a hook but Savage blocks it.
Savage throws the kick towards the body but Hoy avoids it.

Hoy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Hoy looks to land a right hand but Savage moved out of range.
Hoy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Savage manages to avoid it.
Hoy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hoy chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Savage can pounce on him.

Savage shoots in looking for a takedown. Hoy tries to sprawl out of it but Savage keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hoy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Savage uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hoy.

Hoy has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Savage is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hoy.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kha Ri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John McClane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ri might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to . McClane has chosen Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

McClane jabs at Ri's body.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ri, right into the meat.
McClane throws a head kick but Ri moves out of range.
McClane throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McClane rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ri counters with a lovely straight right hand!
McClane misses with a body punch
and Ri counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Ri misses with a wild body shot.
Ri throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McClane swings widly with a right hand
and Ri counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Ri throws a leg kick but McClane checks it.
Ri dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
McClane misses with a right hand
and Ri counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ri throws a leg kick
and McClane counters with a left and a right that stings Ri.
McClane scores with a decent looking hook.
McClane misses with a shot to the body
and Ri counters with a slapping leg kick.

McClane tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
McClane slips a jab from Ri.
Ri misses with a looping left.
McClane throws a sloppy head kick
and Ri counters with a left and a right that stings McClane.
Ri smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
John McClane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ri feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to McClane's calf.
Ri misses with a body punch
and McClane counters with a nice body shot.
A lazy left from McClane finds it's target.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ri swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McClane takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

McClane is rocked!
Ri dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
McClane is still on wobbly legs! Can Ri finish him?
McClane looks gassed!
Ri throws a nice outside leg kick.

McClane is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Ri doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! McClane crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in McClane's bad books for that mishap!
