The fight stays on the outside here - Bjukanon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bjukanon tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Lurpo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bjukanon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
MItch Bjukanon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lurpo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bjukanon tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lurpo is in Bjukanon's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Referee is on top in guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Referee drops back, looking for a kneebar! Koiranputki looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Koiranputki looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Koiranputki!
Referee tries to improve position but can't.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Referee is working to avoid the ground and pound but Koiranputki connects with a decent elbow.
Koiranputki working the head and body with strikes.
Koiranputki lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Referee down.
Referee is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Referee is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Koiranputki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Referee keeps working.

Koiranputki has hold of Referee's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Referee tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Koiranputki cranks the arm and Referee screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Referee, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
