The bell rings for round one and we are underway! That kick from Egan tenderised Santos's leg. Santos is trying to keep his angry face on. Santos misses with a takedown attempt and Egan counters with a slapping leg kick. Egan lands with a kick to the ribs.
Egan missing with a left hand there. Santos was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Santos with a poor takedown and Egan counters with a low kick, right behind Santos 's knee. Santos takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Egan bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Santos's head. Some wild striking there from Egan.

Santos looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Egan lands with a nice combination. Santos backs away looking to recover. Santos takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. A nice inside leg kick there by Egan. That's going to slow Santos down. Good leg kick by Egan there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Santos has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Egan. Egan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Santos. Santos takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Egan with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Egan scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Santos is breathing heavily. Santos stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Egan. Egan bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Santos crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Egan - the referee stops the clock and Santos gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Egan. Santos manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Santos might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Egan has got the better of the exchanges. Adis Tankov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tankov takes a shot right to the bread basket. Tankov misses with a leg kick. Abaddon avoids the head kick by Tankov.
