Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kit Latura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bv Rasp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bv Rasp struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. This should be a great matchup!

8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kit Latura! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bv Rasp! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Latura throws a right hand that Rasp ducks under and follows up with a left that Rasp also avoids with ease. Rasp moves into range and clinches up with Latura. Rasp works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Rasp misses with some punches.
Latura on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Rasp prevents Latura from breaking the clinch. Latura tries to throw a body punch but Rasp avoids it by throwing Latura back against the cage. Rasp is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Rasp struggles to land a body shot inside as Latura controls his hands.
Rasp doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Rasp lands with a short punch from the clinch.
It looks like Kit Latura has been cut. Rasp's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rasp uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Latura.
Latura throws a one two combo.
Rasp with a hook. Latura ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rasp moves away. Rasp swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Latura throws a series of strikes that have Rasp backpedaling.
Rasp has taken the fight to the clinch.
Latura pushes Rasp back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Latura breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rasp throws a looping overhand right but Latura ducks down to avoid it. Rasp wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Rasp shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Latura as he jumps to the side. Latura avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Good shot there by Latura. Rasp bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Latura scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Latura lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Rasp backs up against the cage.
Rasp takes a shot right to the bread basket. Rasp takes a body punch but keeps moving. Rasp looks gassed! Rasp takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Latura misses with a wild combination.
Latura throws a hook but Rasp blocks it. Latura lands with a good body shot. Nice takedown defense from Latura. No joy for Rasp on that attempt. Rasp has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rasp there as he acknowledges the shot. Latura scores with a jab to the head.

and Rasp counters with a nice body shot. Rasp fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kit Latura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bv Rasp.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Latura's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Latura duly obliges. Latura scores with a punch to the head. Rasp ducks under a wild hook from Latura. Good standup being displayed there by Latura as he connects with a hook. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Latura digs a good hook to Rasp's body.
Kit Latura is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rasp swings widly with a right hand
and Latura counters with a two punch combo. Latura dodges the punch combination from Rasp.
Latura goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Rasp is rocked! Rasp takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Rasp is still on wobbly legs! Can Latura finish him? Latura connects with a nice looking jab.
Latura is working the combinations to good effect here. Rasp gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Latura gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Rasp is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Areeno swings away with a leg kick that misses. Menger lands a slapping body shot.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Areeno.
Menger looks to land a combination but Areeno avoids it well. Areeno moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. A solid leg kick lands there for Areeno.
Menger swats away the attempt to clinch by Areeno. Areeno getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Menger wants to clinch. Carl Menger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Menger tries to clinch and Areeno counters with a left and a right that stings Menger. Menger takes one to the side of the head.
A lazy left from Menger finds it's target. Menger blocks a low kick nicely. Menger moves to clinch but Areeno breaks away letting Areeno counter with a right hand. Areeno lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Menger shoots in for a takedown but Areeno shows good takedown defense. Areeno leaves Menger with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Menger bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Menger looks to land a combination but Areeno avoids it well. Menger is looking to clinch. Menger takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Carl Menger has been cut. Menger shoots in for a double leg but Areeno sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Menger. That's going to take a lot out of him. Areeno leaves Menger with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Menger keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Menger throws out a powerful jab. Menger looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Areeno is pressing down on Menger's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Menger preventing the sweep. Areeno is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Menger trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Menger wants to control from the top but Areeno keeps moving. Areeno is adopting a defensive guard. Areeno keeping full guard, as Menger tries to pass. Menger throws and elbow that misses. Areeno uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Menger's guard. Nice move by Areeno! Areeno pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Menger is keeping the position for now.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Menger had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Areeno defends it easily. Menger looking for a guillotine here but Areeno defends easily.
Areeno stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Menger swivels though and keeps the full guard. Areeno wants to control from the top but Menger keeps moving. Menger is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Menger keeping moving, preventing Areeno from controlling successfully. Areeno missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Areeno stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Menger swivels though and keeps the full guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Areeno slips nicely into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Areeno with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Menger is looking to control Areeno's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Menger avoid being mounted? Areeno looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Menger blocking the ground and pound attempt from Areeno. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Areeno dominated that round. The cut man is working on Carl Menger's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Menger throws an overhand right that lands on Areeno's shoulder, as Areeno tries to avoid the shot. Menger misses with a hook. Areeno ducked under it nicely. A big left from Areeno misses. Menger misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Menger throws a lazy uppercut
and Areeno cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Areeno lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Menger keeps the fight on the outside. Areeno fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Menger has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Menger closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Areeno did well to prevent Menger getting side control. Areeno keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Menger looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Menger is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Menger is trying to work for a kimura but Areeno is defending well.
Menger tries to pass to full mount but Areeno defends it. Areeno is trying to maintain the position but Menger is very close to passing his half guard. Menger seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Areeno has recovered full guard. Menger looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Menger pushes down on Areeno's leg and manages to get into half guard. Menger is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Areeno is just riding it out for now. Menger eventually gives up the hold. Menger with the ground and pound but Areeno uses the opportunity to regain guard. Menger tries to free his leg and advance position but Areeno is retaining full guard. Areeno is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Areeno tries to land a sweep but no joy. Areeno lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Menger! Menger is looking to get to half guard. Areeno raining down hammerfists from mount. Areeno takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Areeno with the ground and pound from mount. Menger keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Areeno wants to control the pace but Menger is squirming around nicely. Areeno lands a big shot there that rocks Menger but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Menger tries to hold on but Areeno pushes him away. Menger can't escape the position.
Menger throws some wild strikes from the bottom. Areeno scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Menger?

That's one minute gone in the round. Menger on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Areeno - that will leave a mark!
Menger takes a body punch but keeps moving. Areeno avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Menger is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Menger throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Areeno counters with a nice body shot. Nice shot by Areeno. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Areeno, as that shot connected.

and Areeno counters with a left and a right that stings Menger. Menger throws an off balance right hand
and Areeno counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Areeno dodges the punch combination from Menger.
Menger shoots in looking for a takedown but Areeno manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Menger's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Menger blocks a head kick by Areeno.
Steve Areeno seems to be getting the better of the standup. Areeno lands a head shot. Areeno has Menger up against the cage in a clinch.
Menger lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Areeno or not. Menger looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Areeno lunges at Menger with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Menger's hand. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Menger throws a left and a right that both miss
and Areeno counters with a flying knee. Nice. Areeno lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Areeno throws a series of punches but Menger avoids them all with ease. Menger shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Areeno as he avoids it easily. Areeno tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Menger manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Menger tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Areeno misses with a two punch combination.

The fighters circle momentarily. Menger darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Menger throws a poor cross that misses
letting Areeno counter with a right hand. Areeno connects with a jab. Menger lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Areeno connects with a body shot that sends Menger's belly button to the back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Menger closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Areeno is looking to reverse the position. Areeno is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Menger prevents Areeno from improving his position. Menger is trying to work for a kimura but Areeno is defending well.

Carl Menger has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Menger looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Menger landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Steve Areeno comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Areeno winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Refn is rocked! Jones happy to just control the position for now. Oh Refn is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Refn seems to have got his legs back now. Jones decides to stand up, so the ref orders Refn to his feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Refn looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Jones throws a series of punches but Refn moves out of range. Refn throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Jones counters with a thumping low kick. A kick lands to the mid section there for Jones.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Refn takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Jones slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Jones scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Jones digs a good hook to Refn's body.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Jones. Jones is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Refn had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Nice uppercut lands for Jones. That snapped Refn's head back.
Refn walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Refn misses with a hook to the body
and Jones counters with a beautiful punch that sends Refn to the canvas! Refn is working an open guard so Jones takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Jones lands with a thumping leg kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Refn. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Refn to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Refn on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Refn tries to get out of the position. Jones stands up from Refn's guard - Jones perhaps looking for a knockout. Jones cracks Refn with a hook to the temple - Refn is on wobbly legs here! Jones swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Refn falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Jones wins by TKO!

Esposito throws a lazy head kick and Polk counters with a nice uppercut. Esposito feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Polk's calf. Esposito misses with a low kick.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morgan will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Morgan does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Morgan throws a leg kick that misses. Lock trying to control the position from guard on top but Morgan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Morgan pulls Lock in close to prevent any damage. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Morgan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lock is one step ahead there. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Morgan managing to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lock is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Morgan ducks right into an uppercut from Lock. Lock shoots in for a takedown but Morgan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Dexter Morgan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johny Lock.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Morgan content just to control the position here. Lock seems to have recovered his senses. Morgan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Lock takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Morgan! Morgan taking a breather here. Morgan is trying to get an arm triangle but Lock is defending well. The referee asks Morgan politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Morgan prefers to stall for the moment though.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Morgan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Lock wants to control but Morgan postures up. Lock tries to buck Morgan off but Morgan is having none of it. Johny Lock has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Morgan tries to move into full mount but can't pass Lock's legs. Lock is looking to regain half guard here but Morgan keeps moving and retains side control. Morgan is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Lock's shoulder. That is not cool. Morgan has control of an arm but Lock manages to advance to Morgan's back! Morgan rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Morgan defending well though. Lock throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Morgan is looking to control Lock's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Morgan avoid being mounted? Morgan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lock can do to turn this around? Lock stops Morgan from getting back to his feet.

Moon falls to his knees and DeBlunt doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
