The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lui shoots in but Montana avoids the takedown attempt easily. Lui throws a sloppy body shot
and Montana counters with a nice low kick that buckles Lui's knee momentarily. Montana lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Montana darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Lui misses with a left hand and Montana counters with a low kick, right behind Lui 's knee. Lui misses with a jab to the body
and Montana counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Montana lands a nice hook to Lui's body. Lui takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Lui looks gassed! Montana buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jeffrey Lui seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lui closes the distance looking to clinch and Montana counters with a lovely straight right hand! Nice body kick from Montana. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Montana scores with a kick to the body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spatz with a lazy takedown attempt and Ueda counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Spatz's guard now. Ueda stands up from guard. Let's bang! Spatz swings and misses with a shot to the body enabling Ueda to counter with a crisp jab. A low kick from Spatz is predictable there and Ueda counters with a body kick. Spatz misses with a body punch
and Ueda counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Spatz wants to get back to his feet but Ueda is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Ueda is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sato misses with a left hand and Rush counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Rush tries to work over Sato's front leg with a kick but Sato checks it. Rush moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Rush throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sato stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Sato swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rush prevents Sato from getting back to his feet. Rush controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Sato pushes Rush off and scrambles back to his feet.

and Sato counters with a nice low kick that buckles Rush's knee momentarily. Rush tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sato swivels and escapes. Rush misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Rush has had enough of the clinch but Sato keeps him there for the moment. Sato avoiding damage.
