The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Franklin misses with an uppercut
and Hansen counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Hansen trying to control from half guard but Franklin is working away. Franklin tries to kick Hansen off but Hansen keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Hansen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Franklin tries to kick Hansen off in order to stand up. Hansen Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Franklin wants to get back to his feet but Hansen drags him back down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hansen in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Hansen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hansen in side control lands a decent elbow. Hansen tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Hansen misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Franklin is trying to escape and get back to his feet. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Franklin fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hansen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Hansen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Franklin sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Hansen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hansen doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Hansen takes a body punch but keeps moving. Franklin misses with a straight left. Hansen moves out of range of the strikes. Franklin lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Franklin lands with a good body shot. Franklin jabs at Hansen's body. Hansen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Franklin. Franklin misses with a looping left. Hansen takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Decent striking displayed by Franklin there. This has been an exciting period of action! A cross from Franklin lands. Lance Franklin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Franklin misses with the combination.
Hansen on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Franklin looks to land a right hand but Hansen moved out of range. Franklin is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Franklin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hansen.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Franklin feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hansens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Franklin leaves Hansen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Lance Franklin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hansen takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Lance Franklin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Franklin lands an overhand right. Franklin scores with a one two! Hansen had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. A big left from Franklin misses. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Franklin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hansen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McVance fails in his attempt to clinch. McVance closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Rexum is looking for a sweep. McVance tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. McVance is working to tighten is grip on Rexum's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Rexum has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but McVance is really squeezing tight and eventually Rexum passes out! McVance breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie is doing well to control the position and prevent Loose from advancing to side control. Loose is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Gracie manages to get to full guard.

Gracie loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Gracie is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Loose is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Loose has escaped and now he's on top!

That's three minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Gracie holds on and takes a little breather. Loose lands a couple of decent looking shots. Gracie will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Loose cracks Gracie with a solid left hand. Gracie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Loose's guard. Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Loose looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Loose looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Loose! Gracie manages to get back to half guard. Loose is nestled in close to Gracie, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Gracie gets back to full guard.
Gracie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Gracie is looking to sinch up a triangle. Loose throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gracie's body to avoid the submission. Gracie has instead reached around Loose's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gracie arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rush has his takedown stuffed and James counters with a series of strikes. Rush will be more careful next time no doubt. Rush gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and James counters with a nice low kick that buckles Rush's knee momentarily. Rush doesn't succeed with the takedown and James counters with a left and a right that stings Rush.
That has opened up Braden Rush's cut even more.

Rush drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Rush as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! James screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Rush! Nice submission victory there!

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Billy Slater! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boruc getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Boruc cracks Slater with an open hand slap. Slater swings for the body but Boruc moves out of range.
Boruc really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Boruc connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Slater misses with a lunging right hand
and Boruc counters with a three punch combo that has Slater backing up. Slater nods at Boruc to acknowledge the strikes. Slater throws a poor cross that misses
and Boruc cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Boruc throws a right hand that misses
and Slater counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Boruc swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Slater. Slater swings widly with a right hand
and Boruc counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Slater thinking. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Boruc uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Slater. Slater misses with a jab, cross combination.
Slater walks into a jab. Slater misses with a shot to the body and Boruc counters with a stiff right hand. Boruc jabbing away but nothing is landing. Slater misses with a hook
and Boruc counters with a straight right hand. Slater on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Slater misses with a double jab
and Boruc counters with a nice uppercut. Boruc scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Slater thows a body shot but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boruc misses with a straight right. Boruc gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Slater. Boruc connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Slater throws a sloppy body shot
and Boruc counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Slater looks gassed! A telegraphed right hand from Boruc misses the target. Boruc digs a good body shot into Slater's ribs. Boruc walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Slater drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Boruc swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Slater's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blaze lands a nice hook to Andreas's body. Andreas takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Andreas. Nice jab there from Blaze.
It looks like Daniel Andreas has been cut. Andreas takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Blaze misses with a looping right. Blaze connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Blaze lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Andreas - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Blaze!
