Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Hooker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Millit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hooker kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ricky Martin - Shake Your Bon Bon . Millit has chosen The Cool Kids - I'm Mikey as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Millit misses with a leg kick. Millit throws a lazy head kick and Hooker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Hooker misses with a two punch combination.
That kick from Millit tenderised Hooker's leg. Hooker is trying to keep his angry face on. Good shot there by Millit. A nice inside leg kick there by Millit. That's going to slow Hooker down. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Millit shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Millit closes the distance and clinches. Hooker looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Millit breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Millit misses with an attempted mid kick.
Millit throws a push kick but Hooker slaps the foot to one side. Hooker throws a hook but Millit avoids it easily. Millit misses with a leg kick. The crowd cheers as Hooker lands an impressive looking overhand right. Millit doesn't seem phased though. A cross from Millit lands. Millit scores with a leg kick.
Hooker is breathing heavily. Millit throws a one two combo.
It looks like Jack Hooker has been cut. Millit misses with a kick to the body.
Millit throws a body kick that misses. Good work by Hooker as he checks the leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Millit lands a big head kick that sends Hooker tumbling to the mat! Millit takes a step backwards and waves Hooker back to his feet - he wants the finish! Hooker throws a combination that misses and Millit counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hooker is lucky that one didn't land flush. Millit throws a sloppy head kick and Hooker moves out of range easily. Millit drops Hooker with a big left hand! Hooker is injured, injured bad! Millit jumps in and finished him with strikes! Green tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Thomas blocks an uppercut.
Green is trying to drag Thomas to the mat but Thomas just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Green is trying to force a seperation but Thomas has the dominant position. Green tries to break free but Thomas pushes him back against the cage. Green takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Joe Green has been cut. Thomas avoiding damage.
Thomas lands an elbow inside. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Green. Thomas working Green over with knees to the body. Thomas successfully pulls guard.
Thomas pulls Green in close to prevent any damage. Thomas's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Green stops Thomas from standing up.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Llewellyn Thomas just wasn't active enough. Green with a poor takedown so Thomas counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Wooooo! That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Green is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Thomas is aware though and is defending well. Thomas is stalling in the full guard. Green keeping full guard, as Thomas tries to pass. Thomas is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Green is looking for a triangle here but Thomas uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Thomas throws a strike aimed at the side of Green's head but Green avoids it well. Green seems a little lost for a moment, as Thomas dominates the positioning. Thomas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Green on the ground. Green regains half guard. Green looking for submissions off his back. Thomas thows a huge punch but Green dodges it nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Green is trying to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Green is defending against the submission attempts here by Thomas.

Thomas stands up from Green's guard - Thomas perhaps looking for a knockout. Thomas shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Thomas decides to return to a standing position. Thomas will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Green up against the cage. A nice glancing elbow lands by Thomas. Thomas prevents Green from breaking the clinch. A short uppercut from Thomas. Thomas throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Greens head. A short right hand to the side of the head by Thomas. Thomas using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Green lies dazed against the cage as Thomas celebrates with his cornermen!

Magnusson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Magnusson scores with a one two! Gilles had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Magnusson lands a right hook to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Magnusson lands a jab to the head.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Smith can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Smith looking to pass the guard. Smith throwing strikes from guard but Penn blocks nicely. Smith keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Penn's head. Smith throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Smith postures up in Penn's guard and throws a big left but Penn blocks it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smith looking to sit in guard and control but Penn gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Grand Speed! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fist throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Speed lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Fist at a distance.
Speed throws an off balance right hand
and Fist cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A low kick from Fist misses and Speed counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Speed. Fist throws a head punch that misses. Speed working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Fist can't find room to land a body shot as Speed controls the action.

Fist's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Fist scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Grand Speed has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Speed moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fist trying to control the position but instead, Speed has worked for underhooks and has pushed Fist into the cage. Speed scores with a nice hook to the head. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Fist tries to break free but Speed pushes him back against the cage. Speed doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Fist digs a right hand underneath Speed's ribcage. Speed let out a lung full of air as it connected. Speed swings wildly with an uppercut but Fist uses good head movement to avoid it. A head punch blocked on the inside by Speed. Speed can't find room to land a body shot as Fist controls the action.

Speed lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Fist is pushing Speed up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Speed tries to throw a body punch but Fist avoids it by throwing Speed back against the cage. Fist blocks an uppercut.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Speed creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Speed displaying some good clinch control by pressing Fist up against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Fist. Fist wants to break the clinch but can't.

and Speed counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Fist throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Speed shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Fist throws a hook but Speed blocks it. Speed blocks a leg kick. Fist misses with a shot to the body and Speed makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Speed bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Fist goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kyle Fist will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Grand Speed's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fist accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Fist trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Kyle Fist seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fist shoots for a takedown but Speed saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Speed can do anything to dispel that myth. Fist is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Fist tries to score a power double leg takedown but Speed sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fist somewhat. Nice jab there from Fist. Speed stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fist swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fist being controlled here, momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Speed counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Fist misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Fist shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Speed is trying to defend but Fist finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Speed is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell? Fist connects with a body shot. Grand Speed has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kyle Fist is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
