The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Patriarkki.
Toyoku shoots for a takedown but Patriarkki saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hideo Toyoku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Patriarkki lands a jab to Toyoku's midsection.

Toyoku lands a nice hook to Patriarkki's body. Patriarkki takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Patriarkki uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Toyoku.

Toyoku misses with a jab to the body
letting Patriarkki counter with a right hand.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Patriarkki crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Toyoku - the referee stops the clock and Patriarkki gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Toyoku. Patriarkki manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Patriarkki bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Patriarkki lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Toyoku has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Toyoku and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Toyoku throws a looping overhand right but Patriarkki ducks down to avoid it.

Toyoku seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Patriarkki for as long as he can get away with.

More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Yamaski from any more punishment! Yamaski complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
