Howard comes to the cage accompanied by Can't Touch This. Monroe has chosen Ghost And The Darkness as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, John Howard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dean Monroe! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A cross from Monroe lands. The fight moves into the clinch position. Monroe blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Howard blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Monroe lands with a right to the head. Howard has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. A short left from Monroe. Monroe scores with a shoulder strike. Howard tries to throw a body punch but Monroe avoids it by throwing Howard back against the cage. Monroe drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Howard gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Monroe lands a hook that snaps the head of Howard backwards. Monroe effectively controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Monroe has picked Howard up - he's going for a ride! Monroe dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Howard tries to kick Monroe off but Monroe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Howard regains full guard. Nicely done. Howard is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Monroe is controlling him. Monroe stays in close to Howard's body and controls the position. Howard working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Monroe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Monroe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Monroe's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Monroe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Howard works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Monroe content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Howard uses the cage to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Monroe misses with a straight left. Howard fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Monroe fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Howard on the side of the head. Howard takes a swing at Monroe's ribcage but misses. Monroe displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Howard slips a jab from Monroe. Howard takes one to the chin there. Howard walks into a left hand. Howard lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Howard. Howard pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Monroe looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Howard on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Howard has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Howard there as he acknowledges the shot. Howard fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Monroe swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Howard.
Howard is rocked! Monroe stuffs the takedown attempt from Howard. Howard gets slowly back to his feet. Howard showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Monroe.

and Howard counters by clinching up. Monroe lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Howard backwards. Monroe gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Monroe trying to control the position from guard on top but Howard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Monroe throwing strikes from guard but Howard blocks nicely. Monroe postures up.

Monroe must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Howard wants to sweep here but Monroe controlling him for the moment.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Good exchange - Monroe coming out on top. Monroe lands with a right hand. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Howard tries to clinch but Monroe is having none of it. Howard takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Oh Howard is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Monroe is trying to work for a kimura but Howard is defending well.
Howard seems to have got his legs back now. Monroe missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Howard is pressing down on Monroe's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Howard not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Monroe wants to work for an arm triangle but Howard is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Monroe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Howard. That's going to take a lot out of him. Monroe scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Howard doesn't seem bothered though. Monroe might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Excellent takedown into side control there by Monroe.

Dean Monroe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Howard looks to clinch and Monroe counters with a nice uppercut. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Monroe drops Howard with a straight right hand, right on the button! Monroe follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! LaFleur throws a lazy right hand but McLean sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. LaFleur throws a right and a left that both miss. McLean missing with a left hand there. LaFleur was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as LaFleur checks a leg kick. LaFleur misses with a hook. McLean misses with a head kick.
Nice defenses there by LaFleur. McLean takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. McLean tries to clinch up. LaFleur circles away from the clinch attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - McLean looks like he's thinking about clinching though. McLean moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. That was a close round but I would say that Talib Kweli will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

He's got his arms around Prasoetram's waist but Prasoetram gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Davis off to one side. Prasoetram tries to clinch up. Ulanov manages to reverse the position and now he's in Taco's guard. Nice work there by Ulanov.

Good work there by Ulanov. Taco tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ulanov paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Cletus Kasady seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kasady keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Kasady lands with a nice combination. West backs away looking to recover. West throws a hook but Kasady avoids it easily. West defending well as Kasady loads up on a big left hand. Kasady looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. West dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kasady moves into range and connects with a jab. West swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kasady counters with a nice body shot. Kasady looks to land a combination. West sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kasady lands a straight punch to the body, keeping West at a distance.

Kasady is fending him off so far but West persists. Nope, Kasady circles away and we're back to standing. Cletus Kasady has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will West. Kasady is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by West. West fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kasady on the side of the head. Kasady scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. West doesn't seem bothered though. Kasady lands a lovely overhand right. West drops his hands momentarily and Kasady takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Kasady is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Kasady lands the left hand.
West is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kasady feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending West crashing to the mat! This one is all over!

O Dubhghaill shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Dugre is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
A nice elbow there by O Dubhghaill. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dugre holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as O Dubhghaill tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Dugre taking shots to the head. O Dubhghaill dominating with strikes here. O Dubhghaill thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. O Dubhghaill punching from mount but Dugre doing a good job of avoiding damage. Dugre has left one of his arms exposed and O Dubhghaill doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Dugre screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
