Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Granger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones shoots in for a double leg but Granger sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jones tries to land a front kick but Granger steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Granger fails with the takedown and Jones counters with a nice double leg into guard. Granger looks gassed! Jones throwing strikes from guard but Granger blocks nicely. Granger working for a triangle but Jones defends it easily.
Jones would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Jones looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Jones's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones connects with a couple of short punches. Jones advances to half guard. Granger gets back to full guard.
Granger pushes a forearm under Jones's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Jones is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller tries to clinch up and Jones counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Jason Miller has been cut. No luck for Jones with that takedown attempt. Miller tries to clinch but Jones moves away and Jones counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jones. Jones has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Jones trying to control but Miller is working from the bottom. Miller manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Miller gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Miller tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Jones moves into the clinch. Miller on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Jones closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jones lands in his opponent's guard. Jones postures up and lands a big shot to Miller's brow. Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Miller on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones preventing the sweep. Jones trying to stand up but can't free himself from Miller's guard. Miller keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Miller is on top in guard.

Miller is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Jones is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Miller defends it well. Miller moves into full guard.
Miller looking for a sweep. Not yet Miller, not yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miller swivels though and keeps the full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Miller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that's the end of the fight! Arthur Jones showed his dominance in that final round. Well Jones has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garza connects with a solid leg kick. Garza tries to close the distance and clinch up but Procheck swats him away and circles back towards the center. Procheck uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Garza. Procheck clinches up with Garza and pushes him back against the cage. Procheck gets underhooks to prevent Garza's takedown attempt.
Procheck lands a nice shot to the body. Procheck swings wildly with an uppercut but Garza uses good head movement to avoid it. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Garza is trying to drag Procheck to the mat but Procheck just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Procheck gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Garza on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Garza tries to get out of the position. Procheck stops Garza from getting back to his feet.
Procheck perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Richard Procheck wasn't active enough on the ground. Procheck moves into the clinch. Garza tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Procheck just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Edmond Garza. That's going to take a lot out of him. Good body shot from Procheck.
Procheck tries to score a body lock takedown but Garza shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Garza is trying to force a seperation but Procheck has the dominant position. Procheck misses with a short punch on the inside. Procheck throws a head punch that misses. Garza manages to break the clinch.
A jab from Procheck misses. Procheck scores with a jab. Garza tries to clinch up. A left lands for Garza. Garza connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Procheck is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Garza tries to clinch but Procheck moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Garza lands a leg kick that knocks Procheck off balance momentarily. Garza steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Procheck. Garza ducks under a wild hook from Procheck. Procheck connects with a right hand. Garza shakes it off. Procheck chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Garza can pounce on him.
Garza wants to clinch. Procheck takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Procheck looks gassed! Garza scores with a crisp jab that stopped Procheck in his tracks. Procheck looks to land a left hand but Garza moved out of range nicely. Procheck circles away from the clinch attempt.
Garza moves out of range as Procheck strikes. Garza darts in and clinches Procheck up against the cage. Procheck is trying to drag Garza to the mat but Garza just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Procheck trying to control the position but instead, Garza has worked for underhooks and has pushed Procheck into the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Procheck drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Garza gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Procheck gets underhooks to prevent Garza's takedown attempt.
And that's the end of the fight! Richard Procheck comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Procheck has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Pearson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Nosnom doesn't seem bothered though. Nosnom throws a wild body kick that Pearson sees coming a mile off. A head kick misses from Nosnom. Nosnom moves forwards but Pearson connects with a nice, crisp jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pearson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Pearson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Nosnom stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Nosnom throws a sloppy head kick and Pearson moves out of range easily. Pearson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Nosnom has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Pearson finds it's way round the side to connect with Nosnom's head. Pearson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Nosnom back to the cage. Pearson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Good standup being displayed there by Pearson as he connects with a hook. A head kick misses from Nosnom. Pearson is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Pearson feints a jab promting Nosnom to slip. Pearson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Nosnom slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Pearson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Nosnom fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Pearson is out of range. Pearson scores with a nice right hand.

Pearson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Nosnom tries to move into range but Pearson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Nosnom takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Pearson stuns Nosnom with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Pearson throws a series of punches but Nosnom avoids them all with ease. Pearson connects with a body shot. Nosnom on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Nosnom gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Pearson jabs Nosnom to the body, keeping him at a distance. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Pearson lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Nosnom throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Nosnom throws a head kick but Pearson moves out of range.

Calloway tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jackson throws a head kick that misses and Calloway counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Calloway rushes Jackson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Jackson lands with a light punch inside. Jackson gets control of Calloway's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jackson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Calloway looking to pass the guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Calloway accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson is breathing heavily. Calloway controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Calloway stands up from guard. Let's bang! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Calloway throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jackson. Jackson throws a head kick that misses and Calloway counters with a shoot takedown. Jackson fights it but they end up in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Calloway looking to pass the guard.
