The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cooper throws a sloppy head kick and Eaton counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Eaton. Cooper looking to control.

Eaton decides to return to a standing position. Eaton fails in his attempt to clinch. Eaton goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Sheldon Cooper has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Cooper throws a lazy head kick and Eaton counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Cooper! Eaton lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Cooper is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Eaton has taken his back.
Eaton biding his time, controlling Cooper. Eaton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eaton is working for a rear naked choke. Cooper is not defending it well and Eaton has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Cooper refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Cooper's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Dela Cruz has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Jones is trying to keep an underhook but Dela Cruz manages to get the takedown into half guard. Jones tries to get to full guard but Dela Cruz has control of the leg. Dela Cruz is pressing down on Jones's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jones is holding on for now. Jones wants to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dela Cruz prevents Jones from improving his position. Rockzo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Brodeur jabs Rockzo to the body, keeping him at a distance. Brodeur gets caught flat footed, as Rockzo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Rockzo trying to control the position from guard on top but Brodeur is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rockzo drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Rockzo seems to have locked his on tight now - Brodeur screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Rockzo, as he picks up the win!

Williams looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A combination from Rudy does no damage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Williams dives in and grabs Rudy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rudy pushes down on Williams's head and hops out. A jab from Rudy finds it's way through Williams's defenses.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Torrez moves out of range as Franklin strikes. Franklin moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Franklin slaps away a takedown attempt from Torrez, before circling back to the center of the mat. Torrez tries to move into range but Franklin moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Torrez shoots in for a takedown but Franklin shows good takedown defense. Torrez tries for a takedown but Franklin circles away easily and Franklin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Torrez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Franklin tests Torrez's chin there with a solid looking shot. Torrez walks into a jab. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Torrez misses with a takedown attempt and Franklin counters with a series of strikes. Torrez will be more careful next time no doubt. Torrez fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Franklin to the ground. Torrez is now in Franklin's guard. Franklin looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Franklin is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Franklin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Torrez won't allow Franklin to sweep him here. Torrez wants to pass the guard but Franklin is keeping the position.

Jake Franklin has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Torrez misses with a takedown and Franklin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Torrez is breathing heavily. Franklin lands a slapping body shot.
Franklin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Torrez has time to react. Franklin lunges at Torrez with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Torrez's hand. Torrez chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Franklin can pounce on him.

Drago takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Drago has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Elvaka Drago wasn't doing enough on the ground. Drago is looking to clinch but St Pierre is avoiding it.

Drago has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Drago takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. St Pierre takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drago seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down St Pierre for as long as he can get away with. St Pierre has left one of his arms exposed and Drago doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. St Pierre screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
