The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kringle closes the distance but McHatt moves to the side and McHatt counters with a two punch combo. Kringle darts in trying to clinch and McHatt counters with a single leg into guard. Kringle didn't expect that. McHatt postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kringle is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McHatt, into his guard. Kringle got a little sloppy there for a moment and McHatt has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kringle has managed to get both his arms back between McHatt's legs - danger averted. McHatt working a defensive guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kringle trying to control the position from guard on top but McHatt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McHatt has an active guard here but Kringle has managed to pass into half guard.
McHatt avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kringle. Kringle thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McHatt's head. Kringle looks to score some points with some ground and pound. McHatt tries to roll over but Kringle keeps him under control. McHatt regains full guard. Nicely done. McHatt pushes a forearm under Kringle's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Kringle is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Choco Late! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Columbo Gatti and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Late lands a jab to the head.
Late scores with the left hand. Jabbar knows he should have avoided that one. Jabbar throws the kick towards the body but Late avoids it. The fight stays on the outside here - Jabbar looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jabbar is looking to clinch. A head kick by Jabbar misses and Late counters with a nice leg kick. Late fails with the takedown and Jabbar moves into the clinch. Jabbar wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Late is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Jabbar has had enough of the clinch but Late keeps him there for the moment. Jabbar tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jabbar is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Late is defending well for now. Late is working for takedown but Jabbar is calmly controlling the position for now. Late prevents Jabbar from breaking the clinch. Late jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jabbar walks away with a smile on his face. Late gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Akimbo Jabbar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Choco Late. Jabbar misses with a body kick. Jabbar goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Jabbar misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A looping hook to the body misses from Late. Jabbar does a little dance to reset his feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jabbar. Jabbar throws a head kick that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Late swinging wildly here.
Jabbar closes the distance and clinches up with Late, looking for a takedown. Jabbar pushes Late against the cage but Late circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jabbar throws a wild body kick that Late sees coming a mile off. Late jabs Jabbar right on the nose. Jabbar blinks but takes it well. Jabbar shoots in for a takedown but Late shows good takedown defense. Late tries to land a front kick but Jabbar steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Late digs a good hook to Jabbar's body.
Jabbar has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jabbar there as he acknowledges the shot. No luck for Late with that takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jabbar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Late sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jabbar somewhat. Late fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Jabbar checks it well. Jabbar tries to clinch up. Left hook, right uppercut from Jabbar. Late throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Jabbar uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Late.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jabbar pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Late lands a head shot. Late slips a jab and a cross from Jabbar.
A head kick misses from Late. Jabbar looks to clinch and Late counters with a left to the body. Late is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jabbar. Late throws a combination that misses and Jabbar counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Late thows a body shot but no joy. Jabbar lands a head kick!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Jabbar. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Late cracks Jabbar with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Jabbar fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Late has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Jabbar dives in and grabs Late's left leg, looking for a takedown. Late pushes down on Jabbar's head and hops out. Jabbar looks to land a body kick but Late moved away.

The fight stays on the outside here - Jabbar looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jabbar throws a right hand that Late ducks under and follows up with a left that Late also avoids with ease. Late swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jabbar. Nice sprawl there from Late as Jabbar shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Akimbo Jabbar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Late takes a swing at Jabbar's ribcage but misses.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Choco Late hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Late fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jabbar manages to avoid it. Jabbar shoots for a takedown but Late saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Late jabs Jabbar to the body, keeping him at a distance. Late with a nice cross. Jabbar tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Late manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Akimbo Jabbar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Late fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Choco Late is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jabbar closes the distance looking to clinch and Jabbar takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
And that's the end of the fight! Choco Late comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Late winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

and Van Buren counters with a single leg into guard. Gatti didn't expect that. Gatti avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Van Buren has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Gatti wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Van Buren manages to pass to side control. Gatti has one foot on Van Buren's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Gatti throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Gatti misses with a lunging right hand
and Van Buren counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gatti's guard now. This has been an exciting period of action! Gatti keeping full guard, as Van Buren tries to pass. Van Buren drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Van Buren as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Gatti screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Van Buren! Nice submission victory there!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Barnes is trying to get back to half guard. Silvizzle tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Silvizzle decides to take the fight back to the feet. Barnes misses with a leg kick and Silvizzle counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Silvizzle darts in trying to clinch and Barnes counters with an inside leg kick. Barnes closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brock shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tepez but Tepez pushes him off and we're back to square one. Brock has his takedown stuffed and Tepez counters with a flying knee. Nice. Tepez thows a left - swing and a miss! Tepez gets caught flat footed, as Brock shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Brock trying to control the position from guard on top but Tepez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tepez looks gassed! Brock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tepez swivels though and keeps the full guard. Brock trying to control but Tepez is working from the bottom. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bauer checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Falaris misses with the combination.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Bauer. Bauer working the ground and pound but Falaris is defending the strikes. Falaris is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bauer asserts his dominance and retains side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Falaris avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Bauer. The ground and pound from Bauer seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Falaris knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bauer on the ground. Bauer misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Bauer throws a lazy body kick and Falaris counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Marcus Falaris is winning the standup battle so far. Falaris scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Bauer tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Bauer misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Falaris counters with a head kick. That will keep Bauer thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Falaris throws a head kick that half lands.

Bauer smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Falaris ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bauer moves away. Falaris throws a lazy head kick and Falaris takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Falaris pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Neckpunch misses with a looping left. Neckpunch leaves Luongo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Luongo clinches up against the cage. Luongo blocking some punches.
Luongo is trying to drag Neckpunch to the mat but Neckpunch just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Neckpunch breaks the clinch.
Neckpunch throws out a loose jab but Luongo uses good head movement to avoid it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A thudding body kick lands there by Holder!
Mexico throws a left and a right that both miss
and Holder counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mexico thinking. Holder throws a nice inside leg kick. A solid leg kick lands there for Holder.
Mexico chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Holder can pounce on him.
Holder tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Mexico takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A slapping body kick lands there for Holder. Mexico is breathing heavily. A head kick from Holder lands but Mexico takes it in his stride.
It looks like Ron Mexico has been cut. Holder throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Mexico misses with a hook
and Holder makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Holder fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Holder moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Holder throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mexico has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Holder. Holder swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Holder cracks Mexico with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Holder has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Mexico to stand back up!
Mexico is rocked! Holder digs a good hook to Mexico's body.
Holder bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Holder fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Mexico walks into a straight right hand from Holder. Oh Mexico is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Holder lands a brutal head kick. Mexico looks out on his feet and Holder throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
