The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Santos rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Andrews counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Santos! Andrews throws some wild stikes that Santos manages to avoid easily.
Santos is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Andrews has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Santos's face.
Santos tries to lock up and control but Andrews gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Santos sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Santos regains full guard. Nicely done. Santos trying to keep a closed guard but Andrews is proving a slippery customer.
Andrews thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Santos has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Andrews doesn't defend quickly enough and Santos has managed to lock this one up! Can Andrews escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Santos on a fantastic submission victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Almeida gets caught napping as Rua dives in and scores a takedown. Almeida manages to retain guard. Almeida escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rua gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Rua stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Almeida swivels though and keeps the full guard. Almeida looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rua got a little sloppy there for a moment and Almeida has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rua has managed to get both his arms back between Almeida's legs - danger averted. Rua stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Almeida swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rua trying to control the position from guard on top but Almeida is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Almeida escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rua gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Almeida is looking for a triangle but Rua pushes his legs off easily.
Rua throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Rua slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rua cracks Almeida with an elbow. That is naaassty. Rua in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Rua has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Almeida is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Rua yanks on the arm and Almeida is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Rua.

Belfort is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Filipovic is just riding it out for now. Belfort eventually gives up the hold. Belfort seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Filipovic is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

It looks like Wanderlei Silva has been cut. Silva successfully pulls guard.
Gonzalez is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Silva has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Gonzalez is looking to defend but Silva has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Gonzalez! Silva pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Gonzalez taps out and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kharitonov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Red Gym sees it coming and avoids it easily. Red Gym clinches up with Kharitonov and pushes him back against the ropes. Red Gym misses with a short punch on the inside. Kharitonov fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Red Gym lands a left hand.
Red Gym lands with a right to the head. Red Gym scores with a shot to the side of Kharitonov's head. Red Gym lands with a left to the head. A short right from Kharitonov on the inside. Red Gym breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kharitonov swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Red Gym counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Kharitonov is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Kharitonov misses with a double jab
and Red Gym counters with an inside leg kick. Red Gym digs a good body shot into Kharitonov's ribs. Red Gym throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Red Gym sends Kharitonov crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Red Gym is motioning to the referee to let Kharitonov up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
It looks like Sergei Kharitonov has been cut. Red Gym throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kharitonov. Red Gym scores with a hook to the body. Kharitonov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Red Gym jabs Kharitonov to the body, keeping him at a distance. A punch lands to the side of Kharitonov 's head but he takes it in his stride.
That's one minute gone in the round. It's a brutal combination of punches from Red Gym! Kharitonov is backing up but he can't get away as Red Gym lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Kharitonov and ends the fight. Great knockout.

Bisping cracks Nakamura with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Nakamura throws a jab when Bisping was well out of range. Bisping misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Nakamura counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Nakamura looks to land a right hand but Bisping moved out of range. Bisping moves into range and connects with a jab.
It looks like Daisuke Nakamura has been cut. Nakamura misses the jab. Nakamura pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Bisping with a hook. Nakamura looks gassed! Bisping avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Bisping thuds his right hand into Nakamura's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Michael Bisping seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nakamura uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bisping.
Bisping feints a jab promting Nakamura to slip. Bisping then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Nakamura slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Nakamura is rocked! Nakamura is aggressively charging in as Bisping backs up avoiding any damage. Bisping tosses out a jab and Nakamura runs right into it face first! Nakamura is out cold! Bisping dropped down on all fours and is barking in Nakamura's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Miller gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Miller takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Reis lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Reis. Miller gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Reis looking to throw knees to the head but Miller is blocking nicely.
Miller tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Reis smiles and moves away.

and Reis counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Reis blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Miller is trying to break the clinch but Reis has him pressed against the ropes. Reis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Reis throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Miller on the side of the head. Reis misses with a few strikes there.
Reis connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Reis rushes Miller and presses him up against the ropes. Reis landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Reis dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Reis connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Miller momentarily.
Miller walks into a jab. Reis lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Miller backs up against the ropes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reis moves into the clinch. Reis is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Reis scores with a crisp jab that stopped Miller in his tracks. Miller takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Reis closes the distance and clinches. Reis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Reis jabs Miller to the body, keeping him at a distance. Reis has managed to clinch.

Reis is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Miller had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Miller tries to keep at a distance but Reis has taken the fight into the clinch. A battle for position here, against the ropes. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Reis just leaning against Miller, taking a breather. Reis stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jamal Reis dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Reis thuds a left hand into Miller's body. Reis closes the distance and clinches. Miller takes an elbow to the forehead. Reis misses with a knee strike.
A body shot lands from Reis.
Reis working Miller over with knees to the body. Reis has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Reis holding his opponent close, against the ropes.
Reis lands with a short shot to the head. Reis lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Reis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Reis catches Miller with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Reis scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Jamal Reis seems to be getting the better of the standup. Reis closes the distance and clinches. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Reis controlling the action here for a moment.
Reis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reis lands with an uppercut that bounces Miller off the ropes and back into rage. Reis scores with a hook to the body. Miller takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Reis attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Reis closes the distance and pushes Miller back into the ropes. Knees to the body from Reis.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Reis. Reis comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Reis is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Reis breaks the clinch.
Miller gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Reis. Reis lands a nice hook to Miller's body. Miller takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Reis drives through and clinches with Miller against the ropes.
Reis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Reis lands with a nice body punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Reis stalks Miller and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Miller's face. Miller staggers backwards, shaken. Miller looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Good standup being displayed there by Reis as he connects with a hook. Jason Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
