That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Balboa shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Diefenbaker eats them both and turns towards Balboa to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Diefenbaker takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Robbie Balboa. Well Balboa has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Benitez shoots in and bounces Day off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Benitez's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Benitez slips nicely into half guard. Benitez thows a huge punch but Day dodges it nicely.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Day is not content to let Benitez control the position. Benitez looking to finish Day with some ground and pound. This is bad for Day! Benitez punching from mount but Day doing a good job of avoiding damage. Day wants to control but Benitez is having none of it. Day is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Benitez wants to control the pace but Day is squirming around nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Benitez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Day's face.
BOOM! Benitez connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Benitez controlling the position easily from mount. Day is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Benitez is keen to just control but Day is a slippery customer. Day is trying is best to control the position here. Day is staying active underneath Benitez, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Day is looking to improve his position.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Chucho Benitez. Day cracks Benitez with an open hand slap. Benitez misses with a takedown attempt - Day sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Benitez defending well as Day loads up on a big left hand. Benitez throws a hook but Day avoids it easily. Horrible takedown by Day or perhaps it was just good defense by Benitez which made him look bad. Benitez lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Benitez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Benitez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Benitez thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Day if he has to take too many more of those.
Benitez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Day manages to avoid it. Day throws a low kick, looking for Benitez's leg but Benitez calmly moves out of range. Benitez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Day but Day pushes him off and we're back to square one. Good Day has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chucho Benitez. Day misses the shot to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Benitez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Benitez showed some decent athleticism there. Day trying to hold on to Benitez's head to control him but Benitez postures up.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Day has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Day and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Day dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Benitez dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Day. That did some damage! Day thuds a left hand into Benitez's body. Benitez tries to keep at a distance but Day has taken the fight into the clinch. Day throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Benitez blocks it with crossed arms. Benitez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Day lands a hook that snaps the head of Benitez backwards. Day just leaning against Benitez, taking a breather. Benitez takes an elbow to the temple. Day looking to slow down the pace here. Benitez tries to pull guard but Day holds him up against the cage and eventually Benitez drops back down to his feet.

Benitez is trying to push Day away but Day has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Day trying to land knees to the body.
Day is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Benitez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Benitez takes an elbow to the forehead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Day. Benitez works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Day tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Day looks to throw an elbow but misses. Day lands an elbow inside. Day is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Day misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Benitez.

Benitez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Day walks away with a smile on his face. Benitez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Benitez avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Day fails to land with a series of punches.
Day throws the kick towards the body but Benitez avoids it. Benitez throws a push kick but Day slaps the foot to one side. Day walks forward, straight into a front kick from Benitez.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Benitez with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Day throws a leg kick that is checked and Benitez counters with a straight right hand. Day ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Benitez moves away. Day stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Benitez. Benitez works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Day connects with a body shot. Day takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Benitez lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Day is looking to wear down Benitez with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Day takes a swing at Benitez's ribcage but misses. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Benitez lands an overhand right. Benitez blocks a head kick by Day.
Benitez will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Boyce cracks Chan's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Chan slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Boyce can do further damage! This one is done, son!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chavalo keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Hoost lands with a kick to the temple. Chavalo shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" A slapping body kick lands there for Hoost. Hoost wants to slow Chavalo down by chopping away at his legs. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Chavalo lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hoost has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hoost and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Hoost throws a lazy body kick and Chavalo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hoost's guard. Chavalo throwing strikes from guard but Hoost blocks nicely. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chavalo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Chavalo stops Hoost from standing up. Hoost preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Hoost tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hoost had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Chavalo defends it easily. Chavalo postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Hoost utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Hoost is pulling down on Chavalo's head. It's preventing any offense from Chavalo, at least for the moment. Hoost's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

That was a close second round but I would say that Boba Fett will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Fett is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Fett misses with a shot to the body and Disposition counters with a low kick, right behind Fett 's knee. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Loman shoots for a double leg takedown but Cox sprawls well. He's pushed Loman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Eaton Cox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Teuvo Loman. Loman looks to score with a jab to the body but Cox is just out of range. Cox misses with a right hand and Loman counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cox won't be happy with that. Cox can't do much from the bottom here.
