The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Waul lands an impressive looking overhand right. Vader doesn't seem phased though.
Vader darts in trying to clinch
and Waul counters with a nice leg kick.
Waul loads up on a big right hand but Vader slips the punch.
Vader closes the distance looking to clinch
and Waul counters with a good low kick that Vader was not able to check.
Waul scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Vader doesn't seem bothered though.

and Waul counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Waul swings for the body but Vader moves out of range.
Waul throws a leg kick which misses Vader's front leg but catches the back leg as Vader tries to avoid it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Waul feints and then cracks Vader's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Vader down.

Waul lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Waul feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Vader's calf.

Waul fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Vader has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Vader is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Vader really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Waul uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Oh Vader is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Waul fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vader, pushing him back against the cage.
Waul presses Vader against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Waul lands with a light punch inside.
Waul throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Vaders head.
Waul lands a body shot in the clinch.
Waul lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Waul lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Waul breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Waul lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Vader takes one on the button.
Waul throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Vader stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Vader has Waul pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Waul manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Waul digs a right hand underneath Vader's ribcage. Vader let out a lung full of air as it connected.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Waul creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Waul lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Vader or not.

Waul lands a right hand that snaps the head of Vader backwards.

Vader tries to clinch up but Waul pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Vader to the mat! Vader covers up and Waul unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
