Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brook Bonix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rei Herrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bonix might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to "Let It Roll". Herrera is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Pigface' Grayhounds. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chisley tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Grant manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Grant has his takedown stuffed
and Chisley counters with a nice body kick.
Chisley throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Grant on the side of the head.
Grant doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Chisley counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Chisley.

Grant tries for a takedown but Chisley circles away easily

and Chisley decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Grant's guard.
Oloc Chisley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dwight Grant.
Grant wants to sweep here but Chisley controlling him for the moment.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Grant is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Grant seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chisley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Grant looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Chisley tries to roll over but Grant keeps him under control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Grant controlling the action here.
Chisley is looking for a sweep. Grant is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Grant trying to mount his opponent but Chisley defends it.
Grant is just content to waste time from the top position. Chisley takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Grant wants to control from the top but Chisley keeps moving.

Dwight Grant has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Grant doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Chisley counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Grant is trying to control the position but Chisley postures up.
Chisley trying to control the position from guard on top but Grant is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Chisley has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Chisley thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Chisley pushes down on Grant's leg and manages to get into half guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Grant is on top in guard.
Grant wants to control from the top but Chisley keeps moving.
Grant slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Grant shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Chisley counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Chisley is looking for a kimura but Grant is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Chisley to get the leverage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oloc Chisley dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Chisley is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Grant pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Grant throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Grant is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Chisley has a couple of punches blocked by Grant.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
