Sakuragi was covering up waiting for the punch and Mastadon finishes the takedown easily into guard. Mastadon slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ital lands a left hand that snaps the head of Lister backwards.

The crowd seem to be enjoying Stanson's choice of entrance music: Until The End. Lenny Crammer had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Lenny Crammer looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Formant shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kim but Kim pushes him off and we're back to square one. Formant tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kim darts in and out, connecting with a jab. A shot to the body from Kim misses and Formant counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Formant stands up from half guard. Formant avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kim cracks Formant with a good jab. Formant takes a body punch but keeps moving. Kim throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kim throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Formant counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Formant throws the left hand but Kim avoids the punch easily. Formant tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kim paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kim pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Formant tries to clinch but Kim moves out of range.

and Formant counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Formant drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Formant jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kim keeping moving, preventing Formant from controlling successfully. Formant wants to pass the guard but Kim is keeping the position. Formant trying to control the position from guard on top but Kim is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Janek Formant. A lazy left from Kim finds it's target. No joy there for Kim, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Formant has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Kim misses with a wild body shot. Formant missing with a left hand there. Kim was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Formant tries for a takedown but Kim sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Formant takes one to the side of the head.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kim, as that shot connected.

Formant shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kim as he jumps to the side. Formant is breathing heavily. Kim thuds his right hand into Formant's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Kim slaps away a takedown attempt from Formant, before circling back to the center of the mat. Formant looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kim is fending him off so far but Formant persists. Nope, Kim circles away and we're back to standing. Kim connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Formant's hands. Kim shoots in and drives through. Formant sprawls well. Good shot there by Kim. Formant drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Kim cracks Formant with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Formant is rocked! Kim feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Formants jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Oh Formant is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kim is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Formant flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Formant is out cold! Kim holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
