4 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Chase Gooden! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Franklin! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Franklin gets caught napping as Gooden dives in and scores a takedown. Franklin manages to retain guard. Gooden missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Gooden throwing strikes but missing. Gooden postures up in Franklin's guard and throws a big left but Franklin blocks it. Gooden drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Franklin manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gooden has Franklin in his guard. Franklin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Franklin cracks Gooden with a solid left hand. Gooden looking for a guillotine here but Franklin defends easily.
Franklin trying to control but Gooden is working from the bottom. Franklin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gooden swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gooden is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Franklin is aware though and is defending well. Franklin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gooden is keeping the position for now. Gooden has an active guard here but Franklin has managed to pass into half guard.
Franklin looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Franklin tries to pass to full mount but Gooden defends it. Gooden looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Gooden is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Franklin jumps into side control! Gooden is breathing heavily. Gooden is looking to reverse the position. Franklin trying to control the position but Gooden is working away. Franklin working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Franklin moves into full mount! Franklin raining down shots from the mount! BOOM! Franklin connects with a massive shot to the dome!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Franklin with the ground and pound from mount. Franklin working away from the top, dropping strikes. Franklin landing strikes from the mount and Gooden is in trouble! Franklin putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Gooden is rocked! Franklin unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Gooden wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Franklin celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brodeur lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Wolfgang Strong has been cut. Brodeur dives in and scores a takedown into Strong's guard. Brodeur wants to control from the top but Strong keeps moving. Brodeur throws a strike but Strong rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Strong controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Brodeur is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Strong is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Strong looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strong controlling from the top position. Strong in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Strong is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Wolfgang Strong hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Brodeur is looking to clinch but Strong is avoiding it.
Strong shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brodeur's guard. Strong is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Strong drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Strong jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Strong is figuring out what he wants to do next. Brodeur wants to control but Strong is keeping busy.

Strong tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Brodeur is in a horrible position here. Strong smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Strong landing strikes from the mount and Brodeur is in trouble! Strong cracks Brodeur with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Strong takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Strong with shots to the head and body - Brodeur looks very uncomfortable down there. A nice elbow there by Strong. Brodeur is in a horrible position here. Strong smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Strong lands a heavy elbow. Strong takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Wolfgang Strong has got the better of the ground game so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brodeur sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Strong frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Strong sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wolfgang Strong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Wolfgang Strong's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Strong looking to score a takedown here. Brodeur is defending well but Strong drives through and ends up in Brodeur's guard. Strong stays in close to Brodeur's body and controls the position. Brodeur has momentary wrist control but Strong slips an elbow through the middle. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Strong's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Strong controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Brodeur knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Strong on the ground. Strong has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strong advances to half guard. Strong looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Strong is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Strong with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Strong looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Brodeur with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Strong working Brodeur over with strikes. Strong slows the pace down in half guard. Brodeur could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Strong regains half guard. Brodeur wants to stand up but Strong manages to regain full guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Strong can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strong has control of Brodeur's left arm, preventing Brodeur from doing any damage. Strong wants to sweep but no luck. Strong lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Brodeur!
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Strong controlling from the full mount. Strong raining down hammerfists from mount. Strong controlling from mount. Let's hope that Strong has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Strong is in the full mount, landing strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Wolfgang Strong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Strong winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

It looks like Donovan Rudy has been cut. Rudy wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bader drives through with a takedown into guard. Damage wants to improve his position but instead Bader has moved into half guard.

Bader missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Bader scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Bader slips a nice elbow through Damage's hands, connecting with Damage's forehead. Damage wants to improve his position but Bader is controlling well.

Bader lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Damage avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bader. Bader scoring with strikes to the body and head. Bader throwing shots but Damage is blocking nicely. Damage trying to control here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Damage makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Damage. Bader loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Bader being controlled here momentarily. Bader in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Bader missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bader cracks Damage with a solid left hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Bader dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Damage fails with the takedown and Bader counters with a nice double leg into side control. Damage won't be happy with that. Damage is looking for a sweep. Bader lands a few punches from side control. Damage is pushing Bader's head away, looking to escape. Bader manages to hold on to the position though. Bader in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Damage struggling a bit here. Bader working the strikes but Damage uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Bader is nestled in close to Damage, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Bader takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Damage is trying to control but Bader passes into side control!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Damage is trying to control Bader's posture but Bader avoids it. Bader wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Damage, who protects the arm well. Bader lands some shots froms side control. Damage is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Damage is trying to control but Bader passes into side control!
Bader throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Damage works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Damage regains full guard. Nicely done. Bader throws a big right hand that misses. Bader postures up.
Damage trying to control the position here. Damage keeping moving, preventing Bader from controlling successfully. Damage looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bader is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Damage looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Damage misses with a low kick. Bader lands a head shot. Bader moves in looking to clinch but Damage pushes him off. Damage looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Bader! Damage takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bader is squirming around, avoiding Damage's attempts to control the action. Bader is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Bader might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. BOOM! Damage connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Damage scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Bader?
Damage stands up from mount. Strange move. Jay Bader is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Damage with a lazy takedown attempt and Bader decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Damage's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Bader dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Damage gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Damage working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bader doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Damage is tightening it up a little... Bader has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Bader reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Bader taps out! nice BJJ there by Damage!

Vladimirovich screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Miller! Nice submission victory there!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nelson misses with a takedown and Drago counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Nelson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Drago has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Nelson uses from the top position. Drago will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Drago has Nelson pulled in close to control his posture. Drago is trying to control the position from the bottom.

LePew shoots in for a takedown but Tonq shows good takedown defense. LePew scores a takedown into full mount! LePew lands a heavy elbow. LePew quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for LePew but it's paid off an Tonq is forced to tap! Nice work by LePew.
