Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Josh Guy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Karl Evraerts! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evraerts lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Evraerts feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Guys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! A slow jab from Evraerts misses its intended target. Evraerts looks to land a right hand but Guy moved out of range. Guy with a poor takedown and Evraerts counters with a straight right hand. Guy on the wrong end of a nice hook. Guy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Evraerts pinned against the cage. Evraerts gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Evraerts pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Guy back to the cage. Evraerts follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Evraerts scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Evraerts misses with a right hand and Guy counters with a shoot takedown. Evraerts fights it but they end up in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Guy gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Guy fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Guy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evraerts fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Guy shoots in for a takedown but Evraerts shows good takedown defense. Guy blocks a jab. Evraerts lands a glancing blow to the side of Guy's head. Guy drops his hands momentarily and Evraerts takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Evraerts throws a hook but Guy avoids it easily. Evraerts stuffs the takedown attempt from Guy. Guy gets slowly back to his feet. Evraerts thuds a left hand into Guy's body. Guy is breathing heavily. Guy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Evraerts swivels and escapes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Evraerts defends it nicely. Evraerts ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Guy takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Evraerts moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Evraerts connects with a leg kick. Guy looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Evraerts jabs Guy right on the nose. Guy blinks but takes it well. This has been an exciting period of action! Evraerts throws a nice outside leg kick. Evraerts dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Guy drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Evraerts lands a head shot. Evraerts clobbers Guy with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Evraerts darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Evraerts throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Guy on the side of the head. Evraerts buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Evraerts lands a lovely overhand right. Evraerts thuds a left hand into Guy's body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice cross by Evraerts. Evraerts is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Guy had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Evraerts scores with a punch to the head. Evraerts takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Evraerts lands the left hand. Nice shot by Evraerts. Guy closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Evraerts scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Evraerts lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Evraerts works Guy's body with a nice hook. A lazy left from Evraerts finds it's target. Evraerts scores with a jab to the jaw. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Oooooh!!! Evraerts has knocked Guy down with a huge combo! Evraerts steps away and waves a wobbly Guy back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Guy is rocked! Evraerts stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Oh Guy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Evraerts moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Karl Evraerts dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Guy seems to have got his legs back now. Guy walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Guy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Evraerts counters with a big head kick but Guy shrugs it off. Evraerts scores with a jab. Guy acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Evraerts connects with a single shot there. Evraerts's corner calls for a 1-2. Evraerts obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Evraerts works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Evraerts scores with a sloppy right hand. Guy should have avoided that one. Guy takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
The fighters circle momentarily. Evraerts darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Evraerts catches Guy with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Good standup being displayed there by Evraerts as he connects with a hook. Karl Evraerts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Evraerts lands with a nice combination. Guy backs away looking to recover. Evraerts scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Karl Evraerts seems to be getting the better of the standup. Guy takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Guy gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Evraerts has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Evraerts bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Guy's head backwards. Evraerts connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Evraerts throws a series of punches but Guy moves out of range. Evraerts lands a really nice looking cross but Guy seems unphased.

Evraerts thuds his right hand into Guy's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Guy on the wrong end of a nice jab. Guy walks into a straight right hand from Evraerts. Evraerts jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Guy looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. A chopping leg kick lands by Evraerts. Evraerts lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

A jab and a right hook connect and Guy buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Guy!! Guy is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Evraerts throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Jones not doing much here.
Ty on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Jones works his way into full mount! Ty is trying to escape the mount.
Ty wants to control but Jones is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Jones takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Clessie Cummins! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cummins will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Cummins gets a double leg takedown into Sarutobi's guard. Sarutobi is controlling Cummins's posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cummins passes Sarutobi's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Cummins wants to control but Sarutobi is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cummins takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Clessie Cummins was stalling too much, according to the referee. Nice sprawl there from Sarutobi as Cummins shoots in. Cummins has taken the fight to the clinch.
Sarutobi lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Sarutobi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Cummins misses with a takedown attempt and Sarutobi counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Clessie Cummins has been cut. Hiruzen Sarutobi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clessie Cummins. Sarutobi shoots in but no luck this time. Cummins circles away from the clinch attempt.

Cummins is trying to stand but he's just given Sarutobi his back. Sarutobi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cummins on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sarutobi is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sarutobi gets his hands free as Cummins looks to control. Gunner feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Fantl's calf. A shot to the liver by Fantl. Beautiful body shot. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fantl is defended easily by Gunner.
