A combination from Nguyen does no damage.
Ribeiro throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nguyen's waist but Nguyen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ribeiro off to one side.

Nguyen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ribeiro, pushing him back against the ropes.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Nguyen wants to control but Ribeiro is keeping busy and won't allow it.
